 [OOC] Joining The Fleet
« Thread Started on Mar 18, 2010, 1:06am »

Fleet Daedalus Omega features several key starships in it's fleet as role playing groups. When you join the RP Community you do so as an individual officer of starfleet. Your request is posted as a transfer application and will be reviewed and processed. Once consideration has been taken you will be assigned to one of the several ships in the fleet as a junior officer. Once assigned you'll be expected attended the static role playing events that that ship has and role play your character in the Star Trek Universe.

Star Trek Online is purely a medium used to enhance role playing. Features that are provided by Star Trek Online may be ignored while others made acceptable. In general most of the Role Playing is conducted on the ground, or planetary away missions, as well as socials that may occur in the public areas. Since only specific sections of Star Trek Online are considered In Character, you're welcome to level up and play STO to your content.

To begin the process you most post your transfer request.

Application: All players seeking membership to the fleet and it's Role Playing Community must fill out the application. It features three sections that will give us the information we need to determine if you and your character are a good fit.

Section 1: Are primary questions asked about you as the player. These are things that would typically be contact information, role playing experience, and what group they wish to join.

Section 2: Is where you lay out the character your generating with us. Perspective players are to fill out personnel file for the character they are looking to play and transfer in to the fleet.

Section 3: Is where you design your character's character sheet to determine there skills modifier. Daedalus RP Community uses a water downed version of FASA The Star Trek RPG as it's base for rolling dice here in the fleet. Daedalus provides you with the rules in details in the Player's Hand Book, or by finding the old source book. The system allows for skills that should reflect your character's personnel record, and will be your bonuses for when you are asked to roll for challanges you may face during your character's career.

2.) Once you have submitted and completed all three parts. Game Master will check your character sheet to ensure consistency and accuracy. If this checks out then you'll be told to show up for a specific game night and report to that group's Game Master.

3.) Admission to the Fleet in Star Trek Online, as well as the forum boards is granted as time premits. Anyone of the Game Masters can add you to the fleet. It is likely your admission will occur when you report for your game session.
