1.) What does the Term "IC-OOC Separation” mean to you?
Doing one's best to distinguish what applies to one's character versus you as a player and act with appropriate reciprocal actions.
2.) What is the difference between the term Player and Character?
This is really a clever reiteration of the prior question. One cannot know what IC and OOC is without being a player and having a character...
3.) What is Meta-gaming?
Taking in character action with knowledge or influence your character should not have from either in character or out of character sources.

5.) How long have you been playing Star Trek Online?
In beta and first release.

Shantal was liberated from the Collective at the same time as Xaelei and her sisters and part of the same experiment project. Shantal took her name to honor Xaelei's sister who was instrumental in establishing her individual identity and emotional stability. She, like all Borg, is considered a high security risk and is constantly watched by Intelligence and Command. Shantal earned her rank and position with persistence and skill. Her earnest and humble desire to help others has shown through opened her current opportunity to serve on a ship.
9.) What kind of commission does your character have? (Enlisted, Petty Officer, or Officer)
I believe the Captain of the Valiant is minus a Chief Engineer, and LT Shantal would serve nicely.
