Looking at their FAQ, it looks more like they took the last MW game and put it in a persistant universe. I.e. very little social element, no character avatar to speak of (aside from a name, maybe a photo, inside the mech). Doubt I'd play it, but you guys have fun

It's good game to play if you have like an hour to kill. Other then that it's not exactly the most epic game out there. What I like about it. I can play a few rounds, drop it, and go do somthing else, then play a few rounds before i go pick up hubby.
I like the Cryengine though. They need to finish the game. Like they need more mechs, they need Clan Mechs, they need to get the faction systems, and so on.

Hrm the old nerd is slightly excited, but i wana see a full list of available mechs before i consider buying in. The Stone Rhino was one of my all time fave mechs to use of the mech warrior computer games. I doubt its in this one

The list is very small. Currently its the following
Commando, Jennar Centreon, Hunchback Dragon, Catapult Awsome Atlas
They of course will increase this list. They have Jagger and Raven on the list of upcoming mechs. Thats what i mean by it being little incomplete. I hope they add like.. Tanks. THAT be cool.

Why would you want tanks in a Mechwarrior game? That's like putting a Model-T in a NASCAR race.

Tanks are crucial part in battle tech both tabletop war game, and in any of the stories, and the campgien setting in Mechwarrior3, as well as Mech Commander1 and 2.
So, it would be neat spin on just... simulation shooter from a few of the popular configurations.

Not me. I don't have time. I went with mechwarrior 3 because it's quick games and don't require much attention.
