I am getting confused, have we or have we not seen the Iconians yet? I thought these guy were supposed to be Iconians, did Cryptic change direction on this or have they always intended this to be the story?

This is probably all racist and stuff but, they all look the same to me. With their six little beady eyes.

From the dev logs they are supposed to look the sameish I think. Going for the Herald's evolved on the same world as the iconians and they gave them the founder vorta treatment. So if they are see through glowy = Iconian. More corporeal = Herald.

Yeah but with their glowyness causing distruction and death instead of happiness and sunshine . Im also gonna go out on a limb and say the iconians are few because passing through the galactic rim and touching it made them all crazy godlike powerful and non babies. Sorta like the TOS episode where they get the crazy God powers and kill each other.

Devs have also hinted that the critters that have 6 eyes on Mo Rehan are left overs from when the iconians lived there too so those are iconian critters.

I have a conceptual problem with the Iconians. Just thinking about that last scene from the "Uneasy Allies" FE, where there are so many Iconian ships that they blot out the star for the Dyson sphere. Since it has already been stated that the Iconians possess technology more advanced than all other Federation enemies to date (including Borg and Undine) it seems like there would be no way that the Federation (or even any alliances they are part of) could win such a fight by any force of arms. From a story stand point, one can always envision a typical Star Trek solution that does not involve fighting. But, within STO as a game it is going to involve lots of fighting, grinding, and re-spawning.

My question is, if that sphere was in Andromeda, what's going on with the Kelvans?

The Kelvans all moved out when the Iconians moved in? They saw them and said: "There goes the neighborhood." It might explain why the need arose for them to migrate in mass away from their home galaxy.
But, mostly I think that the STO Devs mostly just ignored (or didn't know about it in the first place) that bit of Star Trek lore.

Its okies, the kitty and the rest of the DGM's have a cute way of keeping the Lore relevant even if the game designers miss it. The Kelvans have not been forgotten by the Kitty. I think season ten is going to be a lot of fun for the 22nd's rp

Is that when we find out Kitty is a Iconian kitty and her scratching post is the key to her powers?
And Star trek has always been kind of bad about the whole awww super enemy one of their ships can take out a whole fleet of ours then a bit latter one fedy ship pwns a whole fleet of the previously super ships.
Example: Borg wolf 359 a whole fleet down one cube, First contact 5 or so ships take a cube, then a couple decades latter a intrepid class can dance with them solo. Or the Dominion what was it 2 or 3 little bug ships pwn a galaxy but latter on are little more than cannon fodder.

The bug ships disabled the galaxy's shields and rammed the fuck out it

... Honestly I would probably try to smuggle a trilithium device into the sphere and just hollow out the star inside.
