The escape pod containing Serris, Sovek, Valkriss, and Ilya drifted slowly to the surface of the planet. The inhabitants got a clear view of the burning wreck of the Ark Royal and the other escape pods, but it was soon obscured by condensation on account of the chill wind of Acheron. If they looked closely, they could see the Captain's Yacht landing some distance away, around five or six miles.
The pod gently came to rest in a sandy ditch. The sand here was very fine and soft, having been weathered by many years of storms.

Valkriss sleeps fitfully, every movement brings some degree of pain with each sleeping breath. After her talk with Ilya, she finds no rest in her sleep as images and memories dance and blend with her pain, haunting and reminding her of her pain and loss.

Cassandra watches the klingon in her restless sleep. she moves over and makes she she is at least staying warm with the blanket over her, and that no temporarily closed wounds are tearing up.

Valkriss slept restlessly, the pain seemingly feeding into whatever night terrors that danced so freely through the shadows of her slumbering world. Her head jerked up as if struck by a jolt, her eye snapping open, every sense alert as if she had just been powered up and switched on...
"boQqa'pu'..." her eyes darted around the semi darkened interior of the pod, wincing as the true agony crept back into her waking mind. She dropped her head back and snarled darkly as she once more battled the pain, accpeting once more the reality of where she now was...as opposed to where she might have been...

Cassandra snaps to at the sudden jerk and shout of the klingon
"Are you sure I shall not give you something against the pain?"
she rumbles about in the pod and gets some water.
"At least drink this"

Valkriss slicked her dry lips and snarled some again....
"Ilya..." she nodded and looked as if to see if Serris and Sovek were still alive and where she last saw them. Her voice low, a husk of a whisper.
"No..not before we get more of an assessment of the extent....of..the doctor's...wounds.." She looks to her "We will not know how long we will be stranded here...best to save..."
Valkriss gratefully accepts the bottle and drinks from its, yet only a taste before trying to hand it back.
"Need....to..save it..."

the cardassian looks thoughtful for a while and eventually looks back at the klingon
"Commander, Giving compliments is really not my suite, and this is not so much a compliment as it is the truth... even if you will probably say I am hitting on you..."
She sighs deeply, trying to formulate herself as good as she can
"Yes, we are likely going to be here for a while, and the stars knows what we will be up against. you are seriously injured, and it will only get worse as the time goes. You need rest and medicine to get better. I do not for a second doubt your ability to carry on and endure, But I do not either for a moment believe you to be delusional to think you are in any particularly good shape to be as useful as you could be. the longer we wait, the less effective you will be. We need you strong, capable and as good as you can be for us... and if the cost of that is one of these? I would rather take a stronger commander then a potential maybe extra shot of painkillers... of course, this is just my personal opinion, but we need you"
Ilya takes a sip of her water and munches on a ration snack bar, looking at the klingon worried she said something wrong.

Valkriss looks up and holds her gaze intently as she focuses on Ilya as she speaks to her...
Once done, Valkriss never hesitates as Ilya finishes, keeping her gaze the entire time she answers the other woman.
"Give me the shot."

Ilya smiles faintly as she prepares the hypo and takes great care when she aims it to the klingons neck and finally activates it
"Thank you, Commander"

Valkriss winces reflexively as she is injected and nods to the other woman.
"You are welcome..." She smirks then..coughing some as the pain remains...though has begun to ebb some.
"That by way...would in no way been seen as flirting by me, actually..."

The Cardassian blushes faintly and slowly removes the hypo and nods as she hands the klingon a energy bar
"Take some to eat, you need the energy and... I am really not good at knowing what is flirting or not. I only know that whatever I say it is not intended as such, but people seem to take things the wrong way, it is quiet frustrating."

The doctor slowly awoke, his medical training informing him to not instinctively grasp at the pain in an attempt to compress it; as he recalled, a potent acidic substance capable of melting through the deck of a starship at the very least grazed his flesh. His right arm moved to his pocket, taking out his trusty tricorder and running it over his wound he began to grasp the full damage of the wound; it would seem as if the acid had first rolled down the lateral half of his left anterior scalene muscle before burning down his clavicle and into the apex of his left lung which would have explained his lung pain and earlier expulsion of blood. These wounds, outwardly, would appear akin to a common acid burn along his left upper portion however the interior damage, on the other hand, was far more worrisome.
A wince was given at the pain of speaking, his attempts at suppression of his verbal tick -- a slight lisp on his pronunciation of 's' becoming 'th-s' -- would falter now and again as he attempted to speak through it. "Status update? I... Truly hope we're all alive..."

The Cardassian looks to the doctor with an emotionless gaze, studying him as he does his nearly routine like scans of himself.
"We have landed on LV-, Four people in the pod, Two major injured, two light injured, standard escape pod compliment of supplies. I tried to close your open wounds while you where asleep, I have done what I can for the commander. However I am a helmsman, not a doctor."

Valkriss sighes some as she listens to the pair talk, the pain medication beginning to spread some, easing the constant stinging agony across her wounded form. She takes the time to carefully remove her honor sash and grunts as she peels away her ruined tunic, grate Ilya has seen fit to seal and clean the wounds that the fabric had been burned into. Clad still in her issue sports bra, she drops her ruined and shredded top to the deck and cradles her heavily scareed and burned left shoulder and side as she wraps up her now mostly bared upper torso in the emergency blanket. She drops her head back into the headrest as evne that activity was somewhat painful and made her head spin.
She sighed a snarl and opened her one good eye and looked at the doctor.
"Still here....though careful Sovek, she is tried ...to kill me..." She smirks some to Ilya then coughs through as a wave of pain washes over her.
"I think...its to fulfill this friend prophecy of hers...she is relentless..."
