Jeb walks into the hangar, dressed in his dress whites. He pauses at the entrance, having had Dawson stolen by Sevuk he made for the amassed group of Deltas around the group of tables, trying to find a seat; making a mental count of everyone present, ensuring no one was going to be hiding away and miss the fun.

Tia caught his arrival ut of the corner of her eyes and motioned with her head to Jeb to her teams. Word quickly spread and glasses and cups hastily refilled.
"OPS BOSS ON DECK!" Tia smiled though her tone semi-professional "DELTA ....TEN-SHUN!"
The mass of semi-drink and happy Deltas rose as one...sorta but did all manage to get to attention.
"DELTA!...PRESENT ARMS!" Tia snapped out.
As one the Deltas of the Adagio extended their arms glasses firmly held in their hands.
"SALUTE!" Tia grinned and winked at Jeb and downed her drink in his honor before slamming her glass down to the table.
Again as one the mass table of Deltas all downed their drinks in the exact manner Tia had.
Tis smiled and nodded to him and barked out to the nearby Deltas
"For the love of God give the Boss a seat and get him a drink!" She winked again to him
"Happy New Year sir!"

Gwen shook her head looking at her heels and then back to Sevuk
"Not exactly my first time at such a rodeo cowboy." She walked over to collect her purse and do a last miniute check on her hair and make up before joining him once more.
"So if we both pass inspection...Shall we be off then?"

Sevuk nods and walks towards the door as it opens.
"Do you know the nature of the festivities that will be occurring?"

Gwen picks up her wrap and pets her little dog. "Be good Mister Boggles"
She looks up at Sevuk's question as she slips on her wrap. She never missed a beat as she can't resist answering.
"Of course I do. It's an orgy..." She says matter of factly. "It is how the Andorians ring in the new year..."
She steps past him and out into the hall and waits for him.
"Why else would then need the hanger bay for so many people..."

Sevuk briefly lifts his eyebrow as he follows her.
"Curious. I was unaware of this cultural event."

Gwen laughed warmly as she walks beside him.
"You are such an easy mark at times, cowboy!" She shook her head. "It is just a party..I am sure there will be lots of drinking and dancing"
"It is a typical end of the year celebration most races partake in..a left over from harvest days and such i suppose..."
She looks to him.
"Vulcans, I take it have not equivalent?"

Sevuk raises both eyebrows.
"I apologize if you took my previous statement seriously, as it was intended as...continuing the joke."
Sevuk pauses a moment before continuing.
"You are correct. Kal Rekk is a traditional holiday that may be comparable but it is not set during our change of years."

Talia moved with a degree of subtle grace through the hallways of her ship. Her step held a hint of uncertainty, a feeling she was never truly comfortable with. A part of her wanted to turn around about face and return to her quarters while the rest tried to understand why. In the end through out her internal struggle her base stubbornness to ever yield to any fear won out, even if she had not fully understood just what it was that she was afraid of. She had always felt one percent at home among her crew and in these halls. This ship and these people had long ago become her keth...
She snarled to herself, so why is it so different tonight?
She forced herself to step off of the turbolift and could already hear the mute celebration ahead. She drove herself forward barely nodding to each of her officers and crew as she passed them, as she approached the doorway to the hanger. She had to smile as she looked out from the observation deck as she leaned on the railing and took in the warm celebration below. The officers, crews and even some families were eating and drinking, laughing and dancing. She had to admire all the hard work Jessi, Ada and Xae had done and was thrilled to see her crew and their fellow crewmates and allies enjoying themselves. She recognized one of Jessi's old style classics playing over the dance floor as she did so. For the longest time she had always made sure these people, her Keth were taken care of, each and every one of them before her own needs or wants...
As it should be, she reminded herself. After all they do for me, this is their time...they deserve this, they have earned this.
She also knew she would never hear the end of this if she did not go down there and mingle. She smirked at this thought and shook her head. No she chastised herself, that is not the only reason i need to do this, not just for them, but tonight for me.
She took another deep breath and smoothed out her white party dress, brushing away the wrinkled of the tight material. Her soft white mane of hair cascaded down her shoulders to rest and sway between her bare blue shoulder blades. She had forgone her usual ponytail or bun, and allowed her hair to flow free tonight. Her dress came to about mid-thigh and its soft shimmering white matched the gentle slingback heels she had chosen. With her final adjustments made Talia descended down the observation deck stair and into the party, with each step she smiled to those she met on the way down. With each step her confidence and comfort returned...
Reaching the bottom she walked over to the bar and ordered a glass of her beloved Tranya and turned around to once more take in the warmth of the celebration before her.

It was a hard return for Lonah. Not because of any personal loss, but because she felt she should have been here when the Iconians attacked. The very beings she had been hunting in the Delta Quadrant were making their opening moves against the Federation and all life that lived. Perhaps unknowable fate understood things better than she and it was probably best she was away. She had plenty enough time to return and get fully into the war. She continued her vigil, staring out the window in her quarters. She did not have to go anywhere special to watch. Just look outside at the debris field.
She knew about the party, but had little interest in the changing of the year. That was something that happen every year and not an event Lonah was interested in. She celebrated Chrismas with the crew, that was more to her liking. It closely conincided with the Klingon Holiday Feast of the Longnight, a basic winter solstice celebration that also was three days from the human holiday of Christmas. A nice little occasion to exchange gifts and pay homage to a rotund man in a red suit who engaged in covert breaking and entering to bring gifts; it was a strange holiday. She even gave Sinez a gift for his budding relationship with his klingon lady; a book of klingon poetry. She also gave him a klingon to english dictionary, so he couldn't accuse of her being a total bitch to him.
Lonah smirked and wished him well. Nothing like having a real woman in his life to keep him honest. The klingon lady's brother migth some sense slapped into him, but that was not Lonah's problem. Well, not yet anyway. She held up cup of blood wine to the debris field as she paid their departed warriors their respects and looked forward to the what the new year would bring the Adaigo.

Sinez picks up his purple drink from the bar and weaves his way through the crowd. Putting out some slick dance moves while he cuts through small groups of people having fun. He approaches Lonah and takes a long sip from his strange drink.
"Really?.. Klingon Poetry and a Klingon to English Dictionary? Guess I should say thank you then. Oh if I don't see you again tonight, Happy Near Years Lonah." He gives her a smirk before finishing his drink and setting it down on a nearby table. He dances his way away from her into a group tearing it up on the dance floor and disappears for the night.

Reaching the bottom she walked over to the bar and ordered a glass of her beloved Tranya and turned around to once more take in the warmth of the celebration before her. Xaelei and Ada upon spotting Talia left the DJ booth to make their way through the throng of dancers and revelers. The crowd naturally parted to make way, while cheering for the royal queen and princess of the party. As the pair drew near, Ada raced forward and embraced Talia in a tight hug. "You actually came! Yaaaaay!", she yelled over the loud music as she squeezed Talia tight, before eventually letting go and stepping back and almost bunny hoping in place with excitement as she continued to beam. Xaelie in turn walked up and smoothly stated, "I never had a doubt." She extended her hand in invitation, "I believe I promised you the first dance..."

Talia spotted the pair as they approached and having anticipated Ada's move, Talia had just enough time to set down her mug of Tranya before she was so enthusiastically hugged.
Smiling happily she hugged her back tightly. "Of course I did little one."
Talia let go of Ada and turned to face Xae as she walked up as well. She looked at the offered hand and drew a breath.
"WHy yes, I do believe that you did..." She slipped her hand into Xae's and bowed her head and dipped her antennae gently to her, her smile warm and comfortable, yet still with a hint of anxiety to let her long held onto guards down for now. She looked up to meet Xae's eyes and said softly...
"Shall we then?"

Gwen led him down to the festivities, the muted sound of the music and some cheering could be heard. She smiled at the sound, something must be happening for it was not yet the hour. She felt ...happy as the two walked and talked. While this was not her first new year's celebration it was the first one she would be able to be herself, not as an entertainer nor simply in uniform. She hugged his arm some and qquickly as not to embaress him in front of the others near the entrance to the hanger deck.
"Tell me of Kal Rekk Cowboy." She smiled up at him. "What is it like?"

Sevuk looks over at her as they proceed to the hangar deck. He does not remove his arm as she hugs it.
"It is a more subdued holiday than what you have described for today's occasion. On Vulcan I would spend Kal Rekk in meditation with members of my family."
