7.) What is your basic character concept & history? See #8 below. Kember is a member of a race from the Gamma Quadrant that was oppressed by the Dominion. His parents came through the wormhole as refugees when he was an infant.
8.) Please give a little background about this character.
Kember's parents and his older sister came through the wormhole from their homeworld of Greshon III in the Gamma Quadrant. They came seeking asylum because their world was being brutalized for not agreeing to align with the Dominion. Although not a wealthy family, they came with enough gold-pressed latinum to start a new life for themselves.
Greshons, as people from Greshon III refer to themselves, have an odd physiology. Some whisper it because they share some DNA with the Jem'Hadar. Their children age and develop very quickly, reaching young adulthood in about 5 years. At that time, their growth slows down, so that they age at a rate analogous to humans, and on average they live another 120 years after they reach maturity.
The result of this rapid early development is that young adult Greshons tend to be a bit intense. This can manifest as very gregarious behavior, or sometimes as aggression. Kember tends to sit somewhere in the middle of that spectrum. He can be great at parties, but then if provoked will turn on a dime. Greshons tend to grow out of this behavior by the time they are around 15 years of age.
