So I was in a gaming clan for about 7 years and we had a great forum game that was like word association but with music and bands.
The rules are really simple. The person starting the game posts two music videos they like and then someone must post two more videos of music that is related to the music of the previous poster in some way, then another person posts videos that relate to the previously posted and so on and so on.
Some examples would be other projects the band members started, genre, a band's inspirations, nominated for the same music award, etc. Use your imagination and see how much you can branch out from the video posted. It's a fun way to learn about new bands while you're searching for a correlation.
So without further ado, I'll start!
The Hedrons performing the all time classic "Brand New Cadillac".
Mmmm The White Stripes... <3!

The Saturdays, a all-girl group in the UK, ironicaly enough doing a cover song as well. Bruce won the Grammy for "Best Rock Song" in 2003 the year before the white stripes won theirs. Tho i prefer "The River" had to go with something that made since

I'm cheating and linking a video with TWO songs in it (and a little acting), muhahaha. Meet Les Plastiscines, an another all girl band but this time from across the channel performing their songs "Shake" and "Mister Driver".
Johnny Cash is the granddaddy of Heartland rock as far as I'm concerned. The man's voice can melt frozen butter.

Musicals! Here's La Vie Boheme from the RENT movie. Sam Cooke once covered music from Gershwin as an audition piece for a record label (which started a major argument). Here's one of Gershwin's more recognized pieces: Rhapsody in Blue.
