Star Date: 88358.71
Location: USS Giselle
Related Personnel: Lt Cmdr Talia, Lt Cmdr Binet, Admiral Meranda, Captain Honda, Captain Frost, Captain Parker, Lt Kara, Hazzah (Guest).
Title of Log: Command Inspection
Crissie Assessment:
As provided via holosuite surprise test engineered and provided by Rear Admiral Meranda. By using the ships computer registry a holo-program was designed to imitate and fool the inspectors and key members of the crew into thinking events occurring was in fact reality. This was necessary to do so to keep a controlled environment of the challenges. While the efficiency and responses of the crewmen themselves was illrelavent,
testing the senior officers of bridge crew was.
Test 1: Engineering Bridge Lock Out
While the bridge crew it's self was unable to find away or override an engineering lock out. Clarence codes fall to Chief of Security, as the Captain. Well within regulation security protocol. The USS Giselle's security measures in terms of main computer core is well maintained.
Test 2: Sabotage Attempt
The command crew has a very good grasp over operations of there vessel. They were able to quickly identify mysterious device attached to the ship's warp core. They removed it with out incident well within standard safety protocols.
Test 3: Unauthorized Entry
During the mess one of the inspection officers were instructed to make an unauthorized entry of the weapons bay section of the USS Giselle. He was identified by Lieutenant Kara. Security responded quickly and secured the intruder for questioning. All within acceptable time limits.
Test 4: Changeling Intruder
The final test for was locating a Changeling among the crew. The ship went into lock down immediately. Security teams dispatched to watch key locations of the ship and visitors (the inspection team) was isolated to a social location. There Changeling protocol was conducted and a systematically threw identification of possible security breaches. Testing was conducted. First cargo areas that had recently taken on equipment, then those who had beamed aboard from the Inspection Team.
We were all tested and it turned out Lt Kara had a doppelganger who's efforts were to attempt an assassination of Lt Commander Talia. Officers conducted them selves with trained skill in terms of combat situation and a hostage crisis was avoided.
Bridge Equipment Assessment:
Science Console features a Induction stabilizer MK VI. It's grade is 3 generations and quality quite common. It's usage provides +8.8 Deflector Field Dish increase. Usage should be evaluated by an engineer. Though I suspect it's for Shielding.
Engineering Console Assessment:
Engineering Consoles making up two stations on the bridge. Feature sensor read out of Titanium Alloy MK IV. Shield Emitter Control Amplifier MK VI. These devices are two generations behind. This is often the maximum standard allowed for starships enrolled in a mobile-fleet task force. The ship also features a Combat Impulse Engine MK VII perhaps a generation or two behind. Though well with in acceptable means.
Tactical Console Assessment:
Tactical Console is a Disruptor Induction Coil MK VI. It's not a standardized component to Federation technology. Although it empowers disruption beam weapons. Though the console is mismatched for it's weapons that are featured as Dual Plasma Banks, and an Array, as well as Quantum Torpedo Launchers. It maybe best we appoint a weapons specialist to rework weaponry of the Giselle.
Weaponry Assessment (Frost):
Duel Plasma Beam Bank MK VI [CrtD] (State-of-the Art)
Plasma Beam Array MK VIII - (2 Generations Behind)
2x Quantum Torpedo Launcher MK VIII - (2 Generation Behind)
Recommendation:
Crew Recommendations. The Giselle Crew and Officers should remain as a team. I recommend no reassignments. They however do need a medical officer as there medical staff failed there testing. Operations in there sickbay is very slow, and do not meet standards.
The issue I see about refit and Overhauling the Giselle is time constrains. Doing this will lay up the crew several weeks. Making them unable to conduct missions, or participate in them. It maybe best to get the crew into a more modern vessel. Then send the Giselle to refit in fleet supply.
Command Officer Review. Lt Commander Talia has firm grasp on ship operations and as cruiser captain. I believe is qualified for more responsibility with larger class of vessels. Should there be a reassignment I strongly recommend that there be no other option except a larger Cruiser Class.
Participation:
Meranda - 2 Merits
Talia - 2 Merits, 1 Recommendation (Cruiser Command Excellence)
John - 1 Merit
Kara - 1 Merit
Frost - 1 Merit
Parker - 1 Merit
