So me and Sullivan were doing some testing, sadly the limitations really limit our ability to interact with characters from Klingon Factions
We can't visit the same social areas so that makes interaction / role playing conflict out.
To make matters worst, we have to ... fill an entire two team que to start our own. So we can't even meet up in the PVP Maps to Rp.
Which leaves us with little RP Conflict, outside of... Officers fighting with officers. (not really star trek-esk) ... So now I'm going to have to think some.
Reflections and Thought?

Hmm.. thats a shame. I'm thinkin (as with other elements of STO) that over time they will incorporate more specialised principles as they get more feedback on what people are doing/enjoying or not enjoying etc. But its waiting for that change that is a pain. Your work on this area is much appreciated Nyoko

Federation Commanders can invite Klingon Commanders to their bridge and vice versa. However, the visiting Captain is considered hostile and if they wonder into aggro range of the bridge crew, a fight breaks out. If all the bridge crew are killed off, there are several minutes before the crew starts to respawn one by one.
There is, however, in the back of each bridge I have been on a "sweet spot" where no bridge crew will be able to see the opposing side's captain.
Perhaps if you want to RP with members of the opposite faction, you can invite them to (the back of) your bridge for a parley. It has some sever limitations, but it is something.

Cross faction social areas are on the horizon. I remember reading that there will be a cross faction social area or two (I seem to recall the name K7 being trhown around). I don't know when it'll be live but there is some nice stuff in the pipe. One little RP thing.... sittable chairs!

YES!! Being able to sit in a chair...properly, depending on what chair you're trying to sit in.
Having said that, for the matter of cross-faction RP, I still think its a good idea to keep contact with the Klingon groups who'd like to participate. This way, when and if we do get the ablility to gather together, then these links are already established. We can be even more of the envy of other RP groups out there ;D
In the interim, maybe we could do an "Ambassador" exchange. Feds have the option to choose Klingons as playable races and while humans aren't directly playable on the Klingon side, you can make them up in the Character Generator screen. Only thing you lose is the racial bonuses humans get (Arguably a problem. Depends on how "effective" you view the bonuses) and you're race is listed as "alien" (Please...we're RPrs. We can overlook anything!).

Linking up with a Klingon RP group with the same standards as ours. Is... ON the agenda

I'll volunteer to be an ambassador to the Klingons if coffee is in the deal.
