Part B: Role Playing Experience Questions
1.) What does the Term "IC-OOC Separation” mean to you? : Separating IC from OOC means that you shouldn't allow emotions from IC/OOC effect the other, what happens in one world (Real world IC or game world OOC) Stays in that world and it shouldn't become a problem. For example if your characters are enemy's, ICly you can still be friends and likewise.
2.) What is the difference between the term Player and Character?: A player is the person behind the character, you in the real world. A character is who you are playing in the community/continuity.
3.) What is Meta-gaming?: I'm not 100% though I think it's where, if a player tells you something about their character that isn't commonly known and the other players character then suddenly comes to know this when they haven't been told by the character (or any other character ICly) - If that makes sense xD
4.) What are Action Brackets? (:: :: | - - |* *| ): These are used to define an action that the character is preforming ie. *reads the PADD* or * acknowledges the command with a simple nof*

8.) What are your expectations of this fleet?: From what I've been told the fleet are active RPers and everyone rps at least twice a month! I believe this will be a truly great experience.
9.) What will you bring to this fleet?: My own take on ideas put forward by the GM/Admin. I'm not afraid to say what I find good/bad. - I've had years of RP experience in Furcadia and one select forums/email RP. I'm currently a helper beekin in Furcadia (http://www.furcadia.com/beekins/about.html#helpers) - This shows a mature approach to
communities and a willingness to get involved. I'm hard working when it comes to a project and I'll do my best to give quality to anything I do.
10.) How do you feel about PVP?: I'm not the biggest fan of it and I tend not to ask for fights all the time, though I'm not opposed to it either.

14.) Do you have experience with Star Trek Role Play?: On furcadia I own a group named 'Starship Horizon' that has a small but loyal member base. Along with the co-founder, I run the forums/plots/map and script development(With Furcadia's map editor) and administration of a purely Star trek based community. (www.starship-horizon.forumotion.net
15.) Do you have alts in other fleets? (If so which fleet are we sharing you with?): Karlos is currently my only character.
Section 02 – OOC Character Inquiry:
(All these questions are to be answered as player about the character you wish to play. It is best that you review daedalusomega.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rphandbook before answering.)
Part A: Character Request
1.) Character name? Karlos Theodor Orion
2.) Character gender?: Male
3.) Character race?: Trill (Joined)
4.) Is your character a telepath?: No
5.) Character class?: Science/Medical (Science is a primary job, medical is a secondary)
6.) Character STO level?: Lt.Cmdr 2
7.) Select an fleet entry level rank.: I'm happy to start as an Ensign since I'm new to STO RP.
8.) What is your basic character concept & history?: Karlos was a typical Academy intake officer. Nothing special was seen of him until his later years at the academy. He began to excel beyond most members of his class in the field of Science, even though he had originally thought to be an Engineer, warp core engineer. - His rapid improvement at his studies saw that he was graduated top of his class as the most improved student. However, he's far from the best, his grasp on Science is merely at the beginning of a long adventure.
9.) What kind of commission does your character have?: Officer
10.) Desired ship type of ship you'll be wish to be assigned too?: No preferences, he wouldn't mind working on a ship that simply needs Science officers.
11.) Please give a little background about this character.: His parents, both officers of starfleet, were his inspiration to join. His father was a Commander and 2IC of a ship, originally a Security officer, where as his mother was a Chief engineer of a cargo vessel. He trained hard physically and worked well in the Engineering field, however he soon developed a passion for Science.
12.) Please describe what Merit System is.: Merits are like a reward for doing something or competing a certain task of sorts.
13.) Has this character been enrolled in a fleet prior?: Only after being invited randomly to a guild that was merely looking to overload with members, I shortly left.
14.) What are your aspirations for this character?: I'd say a casual/competitive mix. I want to rp casually though I also want a good character development.
15.) What are strengths, weakness, and flaws in this character’s personality?: He is a good listener and he is more than happy to help/teach/work on something assigned to him, though he lacks in social contact and easily becomes alienated from peer groups, though he would more than happily sit and work on something. He is more competent speaking with someone in the Science/Medical field than any other (Some Engineering exceptions) since he is has more to relate to.
Section 03 – IC Character’s Personnel Recorded:
Name: Karlos Theodor Orion
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Species: Trill (Joined)
Height: 5'9
Department: Primary: Science - Secondary: Medical
Joined Symbiote:: An old Scientist, working with Vulcan researchers on experimental drugs and an improved deflector technology that was shared with Starfleet. This is a clear indicator of where Karlos' talents of science came from, however parts of the memory is shrouded, and slowly reviles itself, this stops Karlos from using his full potential at his level and rank.
Hobbies:
Karlos had become involved with a variety of Holo-novels, however he enjoyed to read books!
He also took part in a small selection of sports, including horse riding, skiing, trampoline and Karate.
History:
Earth, starfleet small research facility.
Karlos was born here and bonded with a symbiote at a young age. His mother worked here temporarily as she awaited transfer to a deep space ship that was due back later that year. His father worked as a standard fleet escort ship, working primarily in the Alpha quadrant and luckily never too far away, as far a space travel goes anyhows.
Here he grew to develop a keen taste for building and developing things. He believed that one day he would take after his mother and work for Starfleet as an engineer. He was physically active due to his fathers influence as a Security officer, constantly playing various sports.
Starfleet Induction training.
Karlos spent 6 months at a small facility where he developed his skills as a starfleet officer to get a head start in the academy. This was a small project that was still under development. In the induction he received influence to work as a warp core engineer, it became a passion and huge hobby. He also developed his ability on a trampoline, his newly favored sport, winning 2 small, local competitions.
Starfleet Academy
Here, Karlos began his years of training to become one of starfleets finest. An officer of a ship! However, it was a long road that saw him make many life altering decisions.
He studied Engineering for a year though found that he excelled in small science projects. He took a short 'crash course' and was encouraged by a Science professor to pursue what he thought was a hidden talent. His theory on Engineering came from his natural abilities in scientific theory.
Changing to Science training meant having to catch up on a years work while also keeping up with the current year! It was stressful and this meant lack of social time had effected his social abilities somewhat, however he still had friends within his team. Once he was caught up and proved he could stay at the pace of the group, he began to excel above other students and finally finish top of his class.
During this time, Karlos also took on a 2 year Medical course in his spare time as a new 'hobby'
