Lieutenant commander 1.
7.) Desired In-Character rank?
Ensign, to start out.
8.) What is your basic character concept & history?
H'Tirtis was born to human adoptive parents on earth, in 2388. Programs for orphans were certainly constructive, but due to the very nature of being raised in such an environment, he had little self-identity as a Caitian. With some trepidation, and a heavy desire to make something of himself, he decided upon joining starfleet academy, with an interest in exploratory sciences. During his early years of the academy, he was rebellious to the point of being overtly insubordinate to his superiors, resulting in several reprimands. In the end, however, he settled down enough to finish with a degree in Exobiology, and honors with basic medical care. Now, 22 years old, the ensign seeks to find a position as a bridge officer upon any vessel with it's course set to the unknown.

13.) Has this character been enrolled in a fleet prior?
One, but only a group amongst friends.
14.) What are your aspirations for this character? Casual RP (I am just here to RP) or Competitive (I want to be an Admiral some day!)
Casual RP to start, if I get the hang of things, I may have my eye on that captain's chair.
15.) What are strengths, weakness, and flaws in this character’s personality?
H'Tirtis is a rather headstrong individual when it comes down to the numbers. With this self sure attitude comes a bit of natural stubbornness. Although he has long grown out of any insubordinate tendencies, in the face of a particularly sour order, he might have a difficult time biting his tongue. Level headed in the face of the unknown and extreme, he only finds himself ill-at-ease with situations involving more than two or three individuals. He had grown quite accustomed to his lonesome station in the lab.
______ PERSONNEL RECORD, H-TIRTIS_______
Name: H'Tirtis
Adoptive name: Roberick K. Kungler
-----------
Rank: Ensign
Position: To be decided
-----------
Species: Caitian
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9
Weight: 190
Hair/Pelt: Orchre
Build: Slight
Brief description of appearance: H'Tirtis is a bit of a lanky individual, with an ocasionally unkempt 'beard' when on one of his dedicated working sprees. One could call his posture 'twitchy' when he is forced to stand in one place for any extended period of time. Although his he might let everything else slide, he has a tendency to keep his uniform impecably clean, and is notorious for spotting anything inconsistencies with his crew. It could be considered the one thing he takes seriously.
----
Personality Dossie:
Although any rebellious streak has long since been restrained, H'Tirtis still maintains an ocasionally stubborn nature when it comes to any activity he hadn't planned upon.Although hardly 'structured' in any sense of the word when it comes to the execution of his schemes, H'Tirtis generally creates a plan to stick too. Any diviation from such will more or likely result in a sarcastic, but good natured remark of displeasure. H'Tirtis is truly Sardonic in terms of humor, and given the ocasionally gruesome nature of Exobiology, he isn't above a rather grim joke given the right moment.
----
Personal History:
Pre academy years: H'Tirtis was born an orphan on earth, San Francisco, in 2388. Although given a proper upbringing, and human name by his adoptive parents, he was raised with little self identity as a Caitian. Such conditioning left him galvanized against any favoring of one species above another, in any situation. He got to know his parents well, for by the time he was placed into an adoptive household, he was already well on his way to joining starfleet academy in terms of grades, and innumerable application attempts. That said, he was more than happy to have at least one standard in his turbulent life, and it was his human mother who instilled an interest in all living things, sentient or non.

H'Tirtis was born an orphan earth on the year 2388. Although given a proper upbringing, and human name by his adoptive parents, he was raised with little self identity as a Caitian. Such conditioning left him galvanized against any favoring of one species above another, in any situation. While in the orphanage schooling program, he became fascinated with the galaxy around him after reading stories of brave captains daring to go out and face the unknown. It became his obsession to one day find distant planets, alien species, and more fanciful items in a young boy’s mind. By the time he was placed into an adoptive household, he was already well on his way to joining starfleet academy. It was the one thing that inspired him to get high marks in his education. That said, he was more than happy to have at least one standard in his turbulent life, and it was his human mother who instilled an interest in all living things, sentient or non. Much to the trepidation of his parents, he was finally accepted into Starfleet after innumerable application attempts.

Academy Years:
Rather disillusioned with the prospect of having to work at education for another 4 years, a latent rebellious streak arose in the young H’Tirtis, enough to earn a reprimand or two. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to learn, or he didn’t understand the materiel in question, he just wasn’t used to actively cooperating with his peers. It was a dangerous precedent to him, for in his orphanage days, he could get away quite fine alone. His second year he almost didn’t make it, given a group project revolving around accomplishing a set amount of tasks within a time limit, utilizing individual skills and teamwork. H’Tirtis proceeded to try and accomplish everything assigned in his own corner, and after a rather stressful period of time later, he found he had not only overworked himself, he had caused the group as a whole to fail. The memory of this disasterous experience struck home, and he decided to henceforth change his ways. Despite a somewhat unsavory disposition after the long four years, H’Tirtis tackled the Biosciences with heart and soul, soon gathering an honor or two in the process. Once he had overcome his genuine fear of cooperation, his final year of the academy was a breeze. He even managed to pick up a course in first aid.
Graduating with honors, and 6th in his class, H’Tirtis was more than proud to return home to his mother with a hefty degree in Exobiology, he was petrified to learn that his adoptive father had passed shortly before his glorious homecoming. Truly devastated at the loss of the only family he had ever known, H’Tirtis grew incredibly close to his mother in the transition period between the Academy and Starfleet. He was almost quite hesitant to go, given the state of his mother. He made quite sure to stay in good touch, and almost always returns to her on leave.
Starfleet:
His first appointment was more than brief, for the U.S.S. Monitor was ambushed by the Orion syndicate on a exploratory mission. Most of the crew made it out fine, but the somewhat insignificant experience gave the naïve young ensign his ‘sealegs’ so to speak.
A fresh ensign with a degree in Exobiology, H’Tirtis has had lots of field experience from the Academy, but has yet to be assigned to a ship proper, after the events aboard the U.S.S. Monitor.
