Captains personal log:
Captain Tanaka Hann, U.S.S. - Nimitz
Stardate: 88237.19
You know looking in ones quarters from the outside standing on the hull of ones ship is a real perspective changer. You start to realize how encapsulated your world can seem. Nimitz has been my home for nearly ten years, and now its dawning on me, that I have one last great adventure with the old Admiral left. But I have no regrets, not anymore. I have a duty, yet I have more I want. The war wears on me, pushes me to no longer find the zeal to drive my ship and crew back in the line of fire.
You know its time to consider letting someone else take the helm and continue the fight. Nimitz is born to fight, Tanaka Hann was not. The offer from Starfleet Advanced Technologies I just can’t pass up. Field assessment and evaluations Special projects engineer is a great chance to help make the future ships of Starfleet safer and better able to withstand the rigors of war. Not to mention I will be able too use the situation to work with the 22nd. Ride on their ships, probably butt heads with their engineers from time to time. But that’s life.
Lastly. I know Ny was not alone the other night, her eyes darting her body language, But I’m not about to push the point. I miss her but duty sucks but its part of my Honor to see it done. But she’s al the reason I need to make sure me and my crew come back. I know she fears becoming like her father, but she never will. She is far above that. She will see that some day, she just needs her time.
Well time to make my way in off this nacelle, it’s quite a view from up here, but a long way down. Number one can suck it up, ive have my Workout for the day.
