I am not an active member on your forums in fact I only just joined them, I do wish to be though and know the benefits of an active forum especially in regards to RP, I also hope to contribute some stories as time goes on and would love any feedback.

Absolutely IRL I am both a DM and player in a D&D group and have learnt how much better a world can be with some cooperation and communication, especially so when you are a player in someone’s well planned story *smiles*.

7.) How did you hear about us? About a year ago through the looking for fleet STO forum, at the time I was very interested but didn’t have the time to invest in the game.

3.) Character race? Human though she was born on a predominantly human colony and hadnop experience of earth till her time at the academy.
4.) Is your character a telepath? No though she likes to think she can during a game of dom-jot

Ashlynn is a science officer and though she is human she was born on a colony and didn’t see earth or its very different culture till the academy.
She carried with her to the academy a family interest in antiquated firearms, revelling in the opportunities a holodeck provided to explore her passion of historic duels of honour.
Her scientific education has often been directed by her overpowering interests rather than necessarily complimenting skills and during her early academy years she received two warnings for work not completed while she lost herself in some unrelated tangent of research, though in later years she developed a sense of competitiveness that kept her more focused.
She has always been remarkably agile almost without effort, however she has never been an overly strong person and has found herself needing to put a lot of hours into muscle building to keep up with the strength Star Fleet expects of its officers.

Ashlynn was born and spent her childhood on the Orin Colony in the Zenik system, a large warm community comprised of the decedents of French colonists seeking a little adventure and a lot of solitude.
In the years that followed others human and alien have found themselves calling it home and though it isn’t a major hub or bustling city world it has developed culturally in an astounding way.
Ashlynn’s father and mother were engineers who developed and built special purpose replicators, and while her brothers were happy to follow in their parents footsteps Ashlynn was always less interested in what made the machines work and captivated in what made the science behind them work.
Her father supported her interests and tutored in what he could before sending her to a school that specialised in physical sciences.
Her family was very close and Ashlynn took great joy in their company when sharing meals and hobbies, during this time she loved to paint though her works were never great she took comfort from them, her great passion however was one she inherited from her father, a loud foul smelling and dirty past time, firing archaic black powder weapons from earths 17th century, this developed for her into a deep interest into all forms of historic duels of honour both human and alien.
As Ashlynn’s studies progressed it became apparent to her and her family that the colony simply wasn’t the right place to continue her studies and Starfleet was spoken for the first time as an option, given time this option was mentioned much more, then examined and finally pursued.
Most people’s hearts are broken for the first time at the loss of a first love, Ashlynn’s broke in front of a view screen as she lost her home and headed to earth a place that was as alien to her as Qo'noS
The Academy hit her like a plasma storm and she was sent reeling by the new found possibilities, she had peers her own age with shared interests, challenging workloads provided by exceptional teachers and mind blowing often overwhelming resources, it was during this period she discovered dabo and dom-jot and she is slowly developing an addiction to gambling.
Throughout her tenure at the Academy she proved consistently her scientific and oratory abilities, and even with a couple of slip ups her teachers commented positively on her reliability and potential.
After graduation she spent some time back at the Orin colony awaiting her first posting, it still felt like home to her, and she loved it, but after her experiences at the academy she came to realise there is a whole universe out there waiting for her.
She spent the following 5 years working for Starfleet intelligence aboard the USS Pequot Captained by Madred Sarat, her time wasn’t a star blazing adventure this was a research vessel and while its mission was significant the majority of her time was spent analysing samples and negotiating for resources and more reasonable deadlines, that being said she values her time on the Pequot her first ship taught her many lessons.
With the Pequot’s orders fulfilled Ashlynn has applied for a transfer to the Okinami having heard good things of the captain and crew and hoping for some new experiences.
