Vagabond was a word used to Discribe, Eldax’s family over the years after the surender of Talax. Like many His family joined the Exodus from Talax and became wanderers throughout the Delta quadrent. He was a young Talaxian at the time of the Exodus and grew up on the family freighter, a old Talaxian Cruiser striped down to haul cargo. His family ran supplies and cargo to many of the Talaxian colonies and even smuggled People on and off Talax itself under the proverbial nose of the Haakonian’s. Eldax learned the trade routs and even the long lost secret routs used by Smugglers and those seeking to avoid Kazon pirates and even the Borg.
As he grew he learned a sense of humor wont get you past everyone, Learning form his Uncle a veteran of the Haakonian war, Hand to hand training and a goodly about of skill with small arms. From his mother came the skills at how to work with others get them to trust and work with you. His greatest skill was he was a natural born pilot, having had the stick and rudder in hand at merely 8 cycles, hes never been more at home guiding vessels of any size though the stars.
With the return of Voyager, to the Delta quadrant, he felt inspired by the Call of ambassador Nelix and volunteer to aid starfleet and the alliance between federation, klingon, and romulan’s. Spending the last Few months in Admrial Tuvok’s accelerated programs on Starfleet ships and helm operating and Ethics of the federation, Hes ready to take on his first posistion on USS Pilgrim as acting Ensign and helmsman.
