Nyoko materialized on the platform and caught site of Captain Hann. He was a taller man with proud and stoic posture. Though she immediately recognizes that his hair gad grayed some over the years. It was reminder of all the time they had loss. When they made eye contact she smiled and he responded in kind.
She was dressed in casual clothing. A pair of jeans and dark red long sleeve shirt. Though Tanaka met her in his Uniform.
Stepping forward off the platform she smiled looking at him.
“Welcome back to Earth Admiral,” Hann said in an official capacity.
“Thank you, Admiral I am excited to be back,” she responded.
“Now that the formalities are out of the way, shall we continue on first name basis?” He asked with a light grin.
Nyoko replied with a light grin of her own, “I would like that, yes”
Then Nyoko reached up brushed her fingers through gray hair that had formed on the sides. It was almost painful to see but she forced a smile.
“Ah, Tanaka, you're getting old on me.”
“Yes, the recent wars have taken it’s toll on me.” He ran his fingers through his own hair.
“It serves a reminder to how much time we’ve wasted. Though I hope we can change this.” She said softly to him.
“But, I see you’ve allowed yourself to grow out. I like it.” He commented upon her. “Did you want to get a drink?” he continued.
“I would like that,” Nyoko replied.
Then Hann offered the door with a gesture of his hand. Though Nyoko slipped her hand into his declaring quickly her intentions of affection for him.
“Lead the way Tanaka.”
The two left the transporter room heading up the ramp into the new Club 47. Nyoko was amazed at the changes. It wasn't’ so much a club anymore but high end restaurant with some club aspects. Though space window of the ship yard caught her eye. She let go of Han’s hand went to the space windows to watch all the starships being worked on. She placed her hand on the window.
“Thunderchild class,” Nyoko noticed immediately.
“Yes.” Tanaka confirmed as he stepped next to her. “Badly damaged last year. She has been in refit for the last six months.”
“A graceful beautiful ship.” Nyoko commented too.
“I believe you’ll appreciate this,” Hann said as he activated the interactive transparent display. Then with a few taps of his finger he brought up the ship’s registration for Nyoko to read. As she did she smiled widly.
“USS Yuna, NCC... “ Her voice trailed off as pride swelled in her. “A beautiful name for a beautiful ship.”
“I thought you would appreciate that Nyoko.”
“I do.” She said softly.
They went and took a seat at their table. They spoke on a great many topics in an effort too reconnect. They touched on home life, Han’s relationship with his daughter, and her mother and how Nyoko was doing. Eventually the questions touched on what was going on in Nyoko’s life and what was going in her heart.
“The took my ship away from me.” She explained. “I hate it but there is little i can do about it right now.”
“I see,” hand said softly. “But there is more?” He asked.
“I’ve decided to let it go. I want to settle down. I want us to be family. My days are done as captain.” She declared to him.
“Are sure this is what you want?” Han asked to clarify.
“I’ve given most my life to Starfleet, If it’s my time to have desk drop? Then It is time to make our family.” She reasoned with him.
“You can resign that post, I can get you job at the utopia.” He offered.
“No, thats not what I want. This outpost needs my experience right now. I do not want to abandon them but. It will be my last assignment. Once it has been up and running. I will resign my post and take whatever job you can find for me, or just return to civilian life and be full time mother.” Nyoko outlined.
“That outpost may not be as safe as you think it is Nyoko.” Han pointed out to her.
“I know.” She confirmed his fears. “But, out of all the posts I’ve ever had it is the safest assignment i’ve ever been assigned too.”
“Being full time mother might suit you but I think we can find something for you,” Hann assured her with lighter expression.
Then Nyoko moved closer to him on the couch they sat. Her eyes searching for his as she leaned forward. She shut her eyes and kissed him and he kissed back. It wasn’t sloppy one but a clean crisp one of long lost affection. It felt good to her, It felt as she expected and when she drew back all she could do was have wide beaming smile.
“Tomorrow we can have lunch at your mothers.”
“Yes. I am looking forward to the reunion with my daughter and mother.” Nyoko said. “Though tonight I would to stay with you.”
