Decia quietly entered the chapel of the Sentinel, the room was dimly lit as it usually was this late into the beta gamma watch turn over. The ship was quiet now, though she mused that might have been merely do her finally being away from her teams tonight. Team one had been unusually rowdy tonight, Ensign Adryan more so. She had understood why, though she would never tell him. Not after their talk that night. She understood now, better than most what her reality truly was.
As much as she understood her role on her own fate.
She walked down the aisle of the empty chapel alone and slowly sank to her knees before the alter. She closed her eyes and lowered her head in respect before it, bringing her arms up crossed over her chest. She lay a ahnd across each shoulder and softly began to recite the very same prayer she had every night these last months. Her voice soft and small, yet strong and determined, devote and firm as she recited in her native tongue.
"Audite filii mea sanctorum..."
Generum mecum eris nostri post me natum in me, extra me esse natum Generum mihi vincere. Generum consoletur me reficias, ubi periculum esse natum, in cordibus nostri circa me cunctis diebus."
Her voice wavers some as she presses on with a deeper more heartfelt devotion now...
"Quæso ut audias me filius noster Taurus custodiam Alice Walker Jonathan Cameron tueatur.
Accipe me pro parte sua, finemque sancte passus fuit. Tantum peto Ionathan Alicie et in pace et felicitate. Et omnes testimonium humilis et peto."
She opens her eyes with tears in them and pleads before the offer softly.
"Quaeso, quaeso, audite me....quaeso..."
"...quaeso."
With that she lowers her head and silently finishes off her prayer and then after a moment more, she rises and composes herself. Turning she walks back up the aisle, stopping to light a single prayer candle. Decia then heads out of the chapel and back to her quarters.
