How do you like the Shield 40? I was thinking of getting one at some point because I shot my friend's .40 XD and loved it. I'm not sure why, but I felt like the recoil on a .40 is better than a 9. OTOH I've seen tons of online reviews pooping all over the Shield 40 but that could just be typical 40 hate. I love S&W in general, and the shield has never given me any problems. Mine has had around 400 rounds through it so far and doesn't have any issues yet. It's easy to dissassemble (flip a tab, remove the slide, and the slide itself breaks down into three parts) and clean, and it's a good compromise between a full-frame handgun and the tiny compacts like the bodyguard or Ruger's LC9. As for .40, I like it because it's almost as powerful as .45 (at least compared to the 9), but has much less kick in comparison. The smaller size also means you can get an extra round or two compared to the .45. The Shield 40's normal and extended mags are only 6 and 7 (plus the chamber), which isn't bad for a conceal, and I usually have at least one extra mag anyway, which totals 14 rounds under normal conditions. My dear Kitty Remind daddy COl. that not a gun,,, This is a GUN!! three to be exact !! Sorry Hann, but that's not a gun. THIS is a gun:

I have to say that while I did take this seriously at first, I have found it incredibly amusing how it was completely derailed. MMMMMMMMMMMM MAGNETIC. I am a little unhappy though, I can't seem to find any concept art of non-fictional relativistic kill vehicles. You know, Tungsten rods dropped from orbit. Rods from God.

The Colonel asked me to say...the thread shouldve been called "Weapons, Weapons, Weapons" (yes he caught the Robocop ref )
This is a 'Gun' The Tigers are playing, TO-night! If you want to be really technical, their name is actually "Hooty tooty point and shooty."

No. More like big long rods dropped from orbit.

Guns here are secondary, Tea-Making Facilities must take priority!
