I'll limit it to a few pictures of my favorites. I don't have current pics of the pistola family so stock photos of my favorites. <----- Mines a slide mounted decocker though .

M-16 is a garbage musket, FAMAS is okay CQB, and I'm not 100% sure what that similar one to th FAMAS is. See, threads like this only make sense if you understand the use of the weapon your posting. I got the idea that it was PDWs (Personal Defense Weapons) but Aria opened up into combat rifles and so forth.
What are we focusing on here?

Well for me I prefer this... Its simple to be trained on and though limited in range, in close quarters it gets the job done. I do not find reload time to be an issue either, only a few nail biting seconds under any type type of tap, or hose spout And it has never once jammed on me. Very reliable -sagely nods-

Lol someone's misinformed and needs to work on weapon IDing. The m16 is a great rifle the problems in Vietnam were ammo related. There is a reason the Vietnamese build and issue them to their military. Also the Chinese and Russians build them too. Also SF of nearly every nation worth a shit uses a variation when they can choose anything. X95 and Tavor not a FAMAS very very few FAMAS where imported as such they achieve almost NFA price. Plus the FAMAS is garbage the French are actively seeking if they haven't already decided upon a replacement. Looked like they were going to go with the Thales f90 but there have been reports they finalized on the scar16 but since nothing more has come out to confirm those reports I'm a bit dubious of their accuracy. Edit: on a second reading. I sound a bit pompous there which wasn't my intention but text being the imperfect medium it is and all. Second dogging on the m16 because of old military wives tales is one of my pet peeves sort of like the m1 garand ping, Sherman being crap, various 50 bmg and 1911 myths, or the current camel spider bullshit. I'd elaborate with the long history of the real issue which is less sexy and dramatic than tales. But I have to do some driving right now.

I rather like the M4 carbine configuration these days. Since I own the Ar15 version of it at home, for hunting; yes, hunting, we'll go with that.

Maybe I should elaborate on why i believe it's a bullshit musket. Not because of it's performance, but because of it's unwieldiness. I've used and fired both, and for what they're designed for the 16 isn't worth the extra length for the distance gain of it's effective range. It's a shit weapon to attempt to use close quarters, which is why we tend to use the carbine now. Besides, the effective range between the 4 and 16: 50 meter difference. It's simply not worth it in the terms of fighting ability for the work the military does now. We don't fight battles at range any more, no one does.
Edit: Yeah, I need to stop drunk posting. Brushing off the fact that yeah that seemed extremely arrogant, I'm not big into guns. I've an understanding of how to use them, but unless I pick it up and shoot it for myself I'll hold my opinions on it. The spirit of the post was asking what we were posting here. Just pictures of guns we like, guns we own, or what have you.

How do you like the Shield 40? I was thinking of getting one at some point because I shot my friend's .40 XD and loved it. I'm not sure why, but I felt like the recoil on a .40 is better than a 9. OTOH I've seen tons of online reviews pooping all over the Shield 40 but that could just be typical 40 hate.
