So, I'm back! That means it's time to upload the Daedalus Character Generator Assistant version 2.1! WARNING! I have provided instructions on the introduction page as well as every window. In order to ensure the sheet functions correctly and your character is created correctly, it is STRONGLY ADVISED that you read and follow the instructions. The sheet will function if you try and free-form it but certain skills may not populate correctly if you do the sheet out-of-order. (This is intentional, as character creation is supposed to be a step-by-step process). Discovered an error in the way it is calculating skill point totals for science officers. (Science involves multiple repeat entries in the calculation table because you can put points in the same skills several times during the academy stage which causes the lookup formula to only look at the first entry and ignores the rest). I'm working on a resolution, don't use this sheet to do science officers yet.

Okay! So, previous error fixed and all should be well.
Update notes:
* Fixed calculations for all classes and branches, all skills should now total correctly * Fixed a backwards and cross-platform compatibility issue, should now be fully compatible with the latest versions of Libre Office and Excel for Macintosh as well as Excel 2013 and Excel 2010 * Rearranged the curriculum window to provide easier-to-follow step-by-step instructions * Changed the location of the science major and minor field drop-down lists to make them more prominent and easy to see * Provided categorization of auto-populated lists (advanced training lists) to make it easier to distinguish which skills you want to put points into * Locked previously unlocked cells that would have allowed accidental deletion of vital formulae
The newest version (2.12) is now on Google drive, the original link should download the latest version.

UPDATE NOTES (11/27/16):
* Resolved an issue where Betazoid and Lethean races were applying Telepathic traits twice but providing none of the bonuses. Characters of these races must select "Telepathic" as the answer to the telepathy question. * Resolved an issue where the "Soldier" trait was permitting two skill bonus selections as opposed to one * Resolved an issue where certain traits were not populating correctly in the trait skill bonuses section due to a function that is not available in all versions of Libre and Excel

* Known issue involving the calculation of available points for pre-academy and advanced training sections if the "Mind" attribute is not a factor of 10

UPDATE NOTES (11/27/16 v2):
* Resolved an issue in the Officer->Science branch that would cause the Major and Minor skill selections to not populate correctly in Microsoft Excel 2016 and earlier * Resolved a formatting issue that was causing the character summary sheet to populate prematurely * Resolved an issue involving calculation of pre-academy and advanced training skill pools when the "Mind" attribute was not set to a factor of 10 (these will now round up appropriately) * Resolved an issue where the advanced training sections were incorrectly calculating the total points available (players were missing three skills), affected players are being contacted to correct
KNOWN ISSUES:

UPDATE NOTES (08/15/2017):
* Reviewed all "rank" and "grade" tables to ensure accuracy with updated Player's Handbook * Provided "Languages" section to all relevant listings, allowing assignment of additional language skills * Corrected several issues with the "Officer - Engineering" table, they should now correctly receive all points * Corrected several issues with the "Officer - Science" table, they should now correctly receive all points * Adjusted "helpful links" to link to the wiki instead of the forums for the Player's Handbook * Adjusted the "Officer - Engineering" table to correctly allow for the selection of "Space Sciences" skills rather than automatically assigning them.
KNOWN ISSUES: * Seek clarification on "Officer - Operations" social skill assignment, will update again once clarified

UPDATE NOTES (06/17/2020):
*Reviewed all fields for accuracy with updated Player's Handbook *Added additional notes to "Command" section to indicate it requires DGM approval and isn't available to new characters (this was added back to the sheet because having it removed broke a couple of formulae and the field could still be selected and an option chosen but there was no context for the field). *Corrected a misspelling in "Starship Helm Operations" that was causing it not to calculate correctly in some areas (this may require anyone with this skill to review their sheet or re-enter values into this new sheet) *Improved compatibility for non-Excel programs (this is a WIP and I will continue to work on improving compatibility as I can). *Edited download link to correctly download updated sheet
KNOWN ISSUES: *Still recommend use of Excel 365 or Libre 2.0 or higher for maximum compatibility
