Across the blacked and hollowed out landscape of the forgotten world, standing in the shadows of the darkened crystal columns stood a lone figure in the dark. Looking up to the distant stars a thin predatory smile emerges as a haunting voice echos through the ancient chambers...
"They have come...at last..."

He stood in the shadows once more, staring out to the stars, embracing the harmony of the symphony where he and his people had managed to restore it...
His fists tightened sharply as the dissonance rang out from the scars left by her people's retaliation. She had stung back hard and damaged many of his assets and those he had managed to acquire from the former Project Salvation fiasco. He was running on borrowed time. In time even Haller would be of little use here unless he shored up the damage even more. He sets his jaw, knowing his recent failures would not be appreciated by his 'ally'. He expected he knew what her response was going to be...
He had been forced to rely on her assets and had failed with them. There was going to be hell to pay for this.
He closed his eyes. How had it come to this, he thought as he called up the image of the one who had utterly betrayed him. At some level few understood his heart ached at the depths of her treason...she KNEW better...she was there with him, she had known his commitment to her...to what they had always stood for. What did she do with it....chose a side with the beings that were not fit to even gaze upon them. Sided with that blue witch....the dark fires raged within him as he recalled his being out maneuvered by her....the open defiance she drew out of her crew when he appeared...
...they shouldve been on their knees...instead he had been forced to withdraw...to RUN...from them.
He sneered as he thought of ways he would make the one who caused this pay...dearly.
Yet within a deeper part of him howled at this thought. How could he? The part that recalled what she was to him...what they had once shared. He drew a deep breath, no this was now war....a war for the very soul of exsistence.
As it always had been.
They had chosen to open this door, they had chosen their recent fate.
He knew who they were heading for ....he had seen what she could do. He knew at some level what she could do to him.
He tightened his fists...he was indeed trapped now by his own fate, his own choices. He had been caught off guard by 'her' response, and he would not make that mistake again.
"I should've finished her off before your eyes..." He said darkly unsure if he was chastising himself or threatening her for any future encounters.
The door opened filling the room with a shard of soft light.
He did not turn. "Yes Opal?"
"The message was sent sir..."
"Did /she/ receive it?"
"We are unsure...the Sentinel drove off her messenger..."
He chuckled some. "Did they now..."
"Well from what we can tell...they withdrew..."
"She is playing with them Opal...."
"Sir?"
He shook his head. "No matter..what is Cobalt's status?"
Opal folded her arms behind her back. "He is in surgery as we speak....sir are you so sure about this subject....given his past and his ties to the dar..."
Diamond cut her off with a raised hand.
"Mr Cameron will due just fine Opal..." He chuckled darkly. "Why the boy is a natural..."
"Yes sir..."
"Leave for now Opal...let me know when 'she' responds."
"Yes sir.'
With that the door closed leaving him in darkness and shadow once more.
He sighed and shook his head. He could almost /feel/ her response before she sent it.
War makes such terrible allies out of the darkest part of our hearts.
He returned his mirrored glasses back to the vast stygian darkness lain out before him.

"It burns!!"
Joshua sat up his mind filled with fire and of two faces...one jaded and scarred by the experience of battle...the other pristine, young..with a long red ponytail....the pain fro them both seared into his soul. H felt his forearm grab as he attempted to leave his bed in the sickbay of Admiral's Haller's ship.
"Easy Brother..." A voice called out to him, strong yet filled with a compassionate understanding.
"The Pain...the music..." Joshua turned to lock his gaze into the mirrored shades of the large bald man holding his wrists, firmly yet not painfully. Josh knew this face ...and just what so far the known as Mr Diamond had offered him.
"I know brother, I do.." He said with some kindness. "Give it a moment, you must adjust..find your harmony once more..."
Joshua was pnating and sweating from the pain and the horror of the dream...the pair who were the harbingers of his death....the scarred and the fair... "I ...I...don't understand...its..."
"Yes.." Diamond nodded to him. "It is different than before, brother"
'I hear ...i hear it...but not..." Joshua tried and he could feel the pain..the burning..begin to ebb.
"I know Joshua..." Diamond slowly released his wrist. "What you feel is the difference...I apologize for the burn...but what what you feel is the purging of the last remnants of the beast from within you..."
Joshua looked down at his wrist..pleased somewhat that Diamond was beginning to trust in him. "The beast...K'rik.." He paused as a gentle hand rested on his forearm.
"Do not speak the beasts name Brother...give it no more power over you" Diamond said gently. "You are now in control...you chose now..."
'Me? I chose..." Josh fight to understand as even more of the burning began to fade. "What am I to choose?"
Diamond smiled a paternal smile to him. "Why you are now on a path Joshua..a path to personal redemption ...of restoration...a path all here now walk...myself included."
"Redemption...Restoration..." Joshua repeat and looked down.
"Yes brother...a path free of the devastation wrought by the chaos that overwhelmed you..." Diamond stood and looked down to Josh.
"Chaos..." Joshua frowned and looked up to the other man.
"Think on Joshua...look what defying the natural order did with Project Salvation...the lengths the Director went through to save just one life...how many did he spent to do so? Think of Doctor Rendino's foolish attempt to disrupt the evolution of natural intelligence...how many died for that vain and foolish woman's attempt? ..." he adds kindly "Yourself included...how much did you suffer..at the hands of Rendino's folly...at the hands of the machine who sought to alter the ordered laws of natural evolution...used the beast to corrupt you...to destroy for it to survive..."
Josh looked down again his fists clenching "I KNOW what was done to me..."
"As do I brother...you do not go through this alone...I too was its victim..its toy...its plaything..."
Joshua looked up at this. "You as well?"
"All men can be made fools Joshua...no one is perfect" He chuckled some.
"Chaos...Joshua...a father's mistake..begets Project Salvations...which begets Avalon....lies and secrets..power grabs and death...Section 31..restrained and then...released invigorated and humliated....driven further into purpose...all of this begets a war the Klingons...then the Borg..and later..the Iconians...."
"Chaos..." Josh whispers.
"Yes...yes brother...chaos" Diamond sits back down on the edge of his bed. "The same chaos that hides in shadows around those we love...."
Josh look up at this.
"The echo....is with child...it breds with you brother..." Diamond says.
"Jon!" Joshua eyes widen. "but, how could anyone....breed with a .. a machine.."
"How indeed...a disruption to the proper evolution of the nature of species....it is not yet know just what the child...a child born out of genetics and ancient alien technology will yield.."
"Jesus...Jon....no" Josh clenches his fists tighter.
"There is more Josh....on the Sentinel still remains the beast....it is still out of its box...for all we know...she did this to Jon"
"The beast?" Josh said his eyes filled with hate.
"Yes the animal of chaos who stole your mind...is protected aboard the Sentinel...by Bluebird.."
"Billie, is she?" He heart skipped a beat.
"She is long lost to the beast brother..." Diamond said sadly, "She has betrayed us over and over....what was once inside of you...is now inside of her...The beast sought a new disciple...we have lost our dear Bluebird"
"No....sir...cant we save Billie? "He pleads with Diamond. "She is....everything to me...please I will do anything to save her..."
"Brother for as long as the beast is free...or alive...Billie is lost to you..."
Josh's eyes widen with anger "I will kill it....it should've been destroyed when we found it the first time!"
"Yes....yes brother...." Diamond shakes his head. "Yet...Aquarius argued for compassion..as she so often did...as opposed to proper order.."
Josh frowns some..."Liz...was my friend...but they always favored her..."
"And looked how she abused your friendship while she turned the Federation on its ear...delivered it into the hands of chaos"
Josh looked down. "She ..humiliated me...mocked me when I was the Chorus..."
"Joshua...i need to ask you something...Are you strong enough to help us stop this brother?"
Josh paused and looked over to Diamond. "I ....I can not be the chorus again sir."
Diamond shook his head. "I do not need you to be such a thing....you are better than that..stronger...I believe in this, and in you brother."
Josh drew a sharp intake in breath. "But...but what you said you were doing to me..."
Diamond chuckled "All I did ...was give you the inner strength to empower yourself as a warrior Joshua...i ensured you had the power to create and maintain order...justice...peace"
"Then....what you ....was not the same?" Josh said carefully. "I ...but the armor..."
"Has been properly modified for just you....now you wield it..it no longer wields you...the you must find your faith brother"
Josh blinked as he went on listening now.
"You must find the faith in yourself...and believe in yourself as much as I believe in you son." He offered Josh his hand. "Do you believe in me at least?"
Josh looked long and hard at his hand and deeply inside of himself, after a few moments Josh felt his heart surge as he embraced the truth finally. He whipped his hand up to slap it into Diamond's and clasp it in a firm handshake.
"I believe in you.."
"Then say it Brother." Diamond clasped his other hand over their hands locked together. "Say all of it....and grow stronger from it."
"I believe in me...I have faith in me and what we are to do..." He clasped his other hand over to join their mutual grip. "I believe in you sir."
Diamond grinned now, pleased at this. "I am proud of you brother...together we will restore the harmony of order...we will bring justice to those who betray and out of our struggle and sacrifices...people will find peace!"
"Do you believe me brother?" Diamond finished as he kept his reflective gaze locked into Joshua's. "Do you believe me Cobolt?"
"I Believe!" Josh said in a tone that brooked no doubt any longer, even as he accepted his new codename and re-birth.
"Welcome to the only true path brother...we now walk it to the end..." Diamond smiled more with pride for Josh, as within the reflective lens of his glasses, Joshua could now see his own eyes now sparkled with a warm silver light.
"We walk it...together!"

Liz sat in the shadows of the famous, or infamous Quark's bar. A stop over she felt she needed upon her return to the SOl system and the work she was doing for her husband's ship. She smirked, her duties as the Director of the Inferno project were demanding her return. After her conversation with Xy however she knew she had some old business to attend too...
A business that would never die it seemed. She sighed some to herself.
"We never stop paying for our sins..." She had once told the Director of Project Salvation....right after he had finally briefed her on what Alice truly was...
She thought of Jon and what he and she were soon to face and sighed once more closing her eyes. "Poor bastard..."
All around her she could see and hear everything. From the waitress skimming tips from the Dabo table to the bartender who was clearly cheating on his husband with the assistant manager of the bar. Every detail was as clear as a bell to her. She even knew her invited guest had arrived even before she spoke.
"Aquarius..." The smooth sarcasm of the tone was not lost on her.
"Pisces..." Liz half turned and smiled her bright happy warm smile to her old friend. "Please totally like join me.."
The lovely woman with the smooth caramel skin slipped into the booth, she though dressed in civilian clothes still bore the air of a dignified Starfleet officer.
"What?" She looked over Liz's uniform. "They haven't made you and Admiral yet Elizabeth?"
Liz smirked and blinked and amused look. "Like no way and i'm soo totally bummed, Janelle....I mean Im like ch'a how many times do I like need to save the Federation...and like no glitter and cupcakes!"
Janelle smirked. "Look Dizzy, you are a director at Utopia Planitia....me i'm an intel officer in this dump..."
"If you are a nice person...nice things happen to you...dur" Liz said playfully yet her eyes said otherwise.
Janelle avoided her looks. "Yeah..yeah I get it...I should've pitched in more...I am sorry Liz...but.." SHe stopped as Li lifted a hand up.
"Old times Jan...seriously...I need your help again..."
"Jesus Liz...do you know what this might cost me...I am just off of disciplinary probation."
'I need you to find someone for me..." Liz said moving right by Janelle's wall of excuses.
Janelle looked at her a long time. "Why me?"
"You know all of the players kiddo...and someone has reset the board for a brandy new game..." Liz leaned into keep the conversation tighter between them now.
"Reset....for what..Bauer dropped the hammer big time...there is no board...no playing pieces.." She avoided Liz's eyes.
"Diamond...." Liz's usual valley girl like tone was no a thing of the past.
Janelle still not meeting her gaze. "So you've been ...following this too."
"I am rather /fond/ of the people he has recently targeted...and now I promised my mate i was done here...but..." Liz shook her head. "If the game is still in progress..."
"Let me guess....you want to know where Morgan and the twins are..." Janelle said hopefully still avoiding Liz's eyes.
"I know where they are...and what they are doing...." Liz said matter of factly.
Janelle's eyebrows went up...she did not know why this should be shocking..it was like Liz alway had a crystal ball to see into the future.
"So you are asking about.." She tried.
"I've pretty much a damn good idea where Josh went too Janelle...." Liz said coldly. "and why...."
Janelle looked at her hands and winced. Damn, Damn, Damn. "So....who is it you are looking for then?" She eased her one hand slowly towards the concealed blade she had in a hidden pouch on the side of her pants.
Liz leaned in close and let Janelle hear the soft pulse of a phaser pistol being notched up from stun to kill.
"Married may mean domesticated Pisces...but not /tamed/." Liz said coldly. "Ease your paws back onto the table ... or I end you here sweetie."
'Lizzie..don't do this...we are out of it...you have Marzz and your work....and your mom back..." Janelle said almost pleading as she looked into Liz cold stare.
"Yeppers...and i need to be able to look them into the eyes ... with what is left of my soul intact..." Liz whispered. "Janelle...hands...table..now."
Janelle very slowly complied. To which Liz sat back placing her back to the wall of their booth.
"See Jan, now we can be friends again..." Liz smiled sweetly once more. "Now..do not move and we stay buddies..."
"I didn't come here alone Liz..." Janelle smiled some.
"Neither did I honey..." Liz smiled back. "Trust me...your escort is...tied up."
Janelle started to twitch thinking about making a move...until she felt something touch her shoulder. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw the delicate hand clad in leather firmly in place between her neck and shoulder. Slowly she looked up into the black eyes of a white emotionless porcelain mask. Her eyes went wide and she looked back over to Liz in utter shock...
"Gemini..." Janelle whispered to her the fear evident in her voice.
"Yes, it is a regular reunion now, is it not?" Liz grinned. "I told you I knew where they were..."
"My associate?" Janelle felt true fear for her partner now.
"Safe...this is a bloodless operation....for now." Liz said. "I need to know where someone is...and I know you know...or can find out for me."
"Who....who?" She stammered out. She shivered as she felt Tabitha's ...or was it Serena's gentle caress down the side of her cheek with just the back of her smooth black leather gloved hand.
"Where...is Admiral Haller's ship?" Liz said gently yet firmly.
Janelle shook her head. "I really don't know..."
"But you are the eyes and ears for some of them....are you not?" Liz said.
"I...I don't know what you mean..."
"Don't play me the fool Janelle...I have always known what Haller was to your family....we all have our guardian angels...yours is just a borderline fascist jackass."
Janelle narrowed her eyes at Liz. "I mean it, i don't know where he is..."
Liz smiled with some sympathy. "I am heading back to Utopia Plantia .... I expect an answer by the time i arrive...so you have two days."
Janelle smirked. "And if I don't?"
Liz chuckled some and leaned down to her. "You will get another visit...that will not be as pleasant as this one..."
"I am not tamed either Aquarius..." Janelle tried to regain some verbal footing.
"Janelle...you can't stop all of us..." Liz smirked as she rose up. "and you can try...but ask yourself..is that prick really worth dying for?"
A soft movement made her look up to the emotionless mask looking down at her as it shook its head sadly. Janelle snapped a look at Liz.
"Is this what it has come to for you?? These two are /monsters/ Elizabeth...murderers...they are animals." Janelle snarled at Liz.
"Wow..dont like hold back Janelle..." Liz shook her head. "I admire your courage to express all of that that in front of them...you really better hope that I am the one who comes for you if you failed to get me Haller's location."
Janelle winces as the gloved hand's grip tightened.
"Remember...two days Jan...use the old ways of reaching me..." Liz leaned down and hugged her. her valley girl accent returning.
"It was soooo boss to catch up girly but like i soooo gotta run....ta ta for now, keep in touch."
With that Liz moved down the ramp and into the busy crowd around the Dabo tables. As Janelle watched her she felt the grip on her shoulder's to abide. She snapped her head around and Gemini too was no where to be seen. She sighed and lowered her head.
Two days....just two days...

He whirled with unearthly and unyielding speed to slice through the Admiral's desk cutting it cleanly in two, his rage sending both sections to hurl against the wall to shatter into a thousand pieces.
"That Bitch!" He hissed.
Sapphire cringed some, her own anger still visible as she had witnessed the battle that had turned into a route. She was unsure of how things had gone so badly, it was clear though this enemy was not without its own supporters however. The Andorian witch had to have chosen a clear side now. She watched as Diamond stalked through the ruins of the ready room, his rage melting and warping the many statues and model ships that were once Admiral Haller's prized possessions.
"At each turn..they are prepared...." He snarled. "They can not even die as a distraction....how can SHE let them suffer for HER!"
Sapphire winced, unsure his fixation was healthy at this point, a fact however she dare not point out. She looked over to Opal who merely watch all of this unphased and as unemotional as ever.
"...She was ready....she was ready...."
"And altered and imbued." Opal said matter of factly. "She is now a weapon....much like her ship."
Diamond hissed drilling a dagger like gaze at Opal. "I should have ripped her apart before her eyes when I had them both dead to rights...."
Opal nodded. "A failed opportunity that is giving them an edge...the Andorian has used this as a rallying call. Her crew fought as one...even when left in chaos...they unified..."
"Very much faster than anticipated.." Sapphire added.
Opal added "A rather fatal miscalculation...for Onyx"
Diamond advanced on her lifting her off the ground without touching her. "Do you THINK I did not hear his music cease?"
"Sir...." She wheezed out as she struggled for breath.
Diamond burned his mirrored gaze into hers until he felt the gentle touch of Sapphires hand on his forearm.
"Mikail...please..." She softly implored.
Diamond closed his eyes fiercely and let go a deep breath setting Opal back down to the deck..the waves of heat flowing from his form dissipating now.
Opal rose after a moment and resumed her unemotional stance as Sapphire continued.
"We still do not yet know how they dispatched Cobalt..."
Diamond looked back over to where the desk once stood "Oh yes we do...and it was not them..."
Opal and Sapphire shared a look and then looked back to him. Opal found her voice first.
"Sir?"
"It was that little sniveling rat bastard who took him!" Diamond drew another deep disgusted breath. "The cowardly little deal broker...."
Sapphire blinked stunned. "Surely he would not dare..."
Opal chimed in as well. "After all of this time...how and where..."
Diamond looked over at them. "He was on the Sentinel....he is after their beast...he has to be trying to cover his own ass when the time come to deal with HER. He knows the clock is running out as much as we do"
Sapphire paled at the mention of the dark, even Opal seemed uncomfortable at this new development.
"That can not be his only target..."
"No...he is looking for an angle to keep both sides off of his own ass..." Diamond flicked his wrist an dismissed his crystal like blades. "That damn ship is pure chaos...Bluebird..the champion...the sword...the beast...and their precious guardian...not to mention that thing we still need to rip out of the fool of a counselor's head!"
"Does he truly think he can....keep HER at bay?" Sapphire gulped even hating to bring her up at this point.
"He will do anything he thinks will protect himself..." Diamond stopped as the heat immediately abated in the room...the light dimming....the very shadows of the room growing deeper...blacker now.
Opal stepped back instinctively and edged closer to the door of the ready room. Sapphire's eye grew wide as she wrapped her arms around herself likewise backing up as her sense of fear grew.
"She is coming..." Sapphire whispered clearly terrified.
"No..." Diamond lowered his head some. "She is already here..."
"Sir.." Sapphire said softly with concern for him now.
"Leave me..." The back wall of the ready room seemed to fill with a deep dark black mist blacking out the wall entirely. "Now...quickly..."
Opal turned and immediately departed as did Sapphire, her heart pounding fiercely in her chest. She turned back to see Diamond already lowering himself to one knee before the enormous ink like cloud looming before him, a silent wave of empty obsidian with no true form.
Opal reached for her friend and pulled her out of the ready room's doorway as Sapphire watched in pure horror as two large lovely yet deeply cold eyes flickered open to gaze down, Their crimson glowing gaze stood out in the middle of the darkness that enshrouded the powerful being within.
"Darkness..." Diamond lowered his head in respect.
With that the door closed on the scene, leaving their master to face whatever fate he was to meet....alone.

Liz moved through what remained of Haller's flagship quietly and solemnly. She stopped near the captain's chair and surveyed the horrific sight. All around her lay the still and contorted bodies of the bridge watch. Quietly around her the Requiem's medical staff moved from corpse to corpse, while around the Delta's remained on guard. Liz gently knelt next to the still for of the ship's captain. She forced herself to look into the dead man's face, a face distorted with a look of abject terror The cold lifeless eyes stare beyond her into an abyss that had taken his life.
"This one's heart burst...." One medical officer said of the helmsman.
"This one suffered a fatal stroke..." Another over by the Operations officer added.
Liz closed her eyes a moment, it was like this all over the ship. Nearly a thousand officers and crew, killed simultaneously at their posts. Their bodies littered the corridors and cabins all over the ship. Her eyes swept from body to body, each one with a look frozen in death left to hint at the horror that claimed their lives...
...all of them, in a single instant.
"Mother of God." Liz whispered to herself as closed her eyes.
... She was too late.
Her intel had come as requested from Pisces under the 48 hour window, and her clearance had been given to her to assist in Admiral Haller's arrest. Her official position on the operation was Scientific advisor, a role she was comfortable with. It kept her word to her husband, yet she had to see this through in order to be able to look him in the eyes regarding her past. She owed this t her friends aboard the Adagio and Sentinel as well. She had lng suspected that this fool Haller was trying to use Diamond as an asset and obviously had lost control. She knew to find him was to find Diamond's last available hiding hole. She had expected a fight...but not this.
Mister Diamond was powerful indeed, an Esper and perhaps more she suspected. Yet...never once in his interactions with her did she even consider he was capable of this type of act. It seemed needless, it served no purpose. If his was a message to her...what did it gain him? He was about order, not this...this type of slaughter...this was pure chaos...
No, She thought to herself. This is utter fucking madness. This is someone...or something else. Liz found herself shivering some at such a thought.
"Commander?" The voice of the Requiem's captain, a chiseled veteran of a man, named Michael Holbrook, broke her train of thought. "The Admiral is in here...what is left of him."
"Identification positive?" Liz said, she had to be sure. Having the man splattered all over his ready room wall would not confirm it for right away.
"I...I..am not entirely sure.."
She blinked, Michael Holbrook was a seasoned veteran of several recent wars, and his voiced cracked as he said the last. She rose, smoothing our her blue Inferno uniform and stepped over several bodies as she crossed the dead bridge to the ready room. A chill ran down her spine as a distant rambling muttering reached her ears.
The voice was old...far older than the voice repeating it should have been..not quite a whisper, yet no longer truly a man's voice. She stepped into the semi darkness of the admiral's ready room...she found Haller, or what remained of him, kneeling naked in the center of the room, his discarded uniform lay in shreds beside of his now visibly shriveled body, his hair shock white and in disarray. His eyes wide open and as vacant as an tomb long agao empty by robbers of the dead. His cracked and parted lips moved only enough to recite the same words over and over as he stared vacuously into the shadows dwelling in the corner of the room.
Liz's eyes grew wider some as she slowly approached the medical officer and the Requiem's counselor. Liz looked to the doctor first.
"Well?"
"Nothing Commander, "He is stuck deep in a state of shock.."
"Physically?" She looked down at the shriveled decicated form of the Admiral.
"Malnourished, incontinent...dehydrated...this man is in need of more treatment than we can give him here...we need to get him back aboard the Requiem."
"Chances, he can tell us exactly what the hell went down here?" Liz said unable to take her eyes off of what was left of the man.
The CMO shook her head. "Whatever happened to him ....to all of them, left the lights on..but there is no one home..."
The Counselor winced some. "Not entirely how I would put it professionally... but accurate."
Liz half turned and nodded to Holbrook.
"Alright you two..get him back aboard the Req..." He looked to Liz. "No signs of our primary target or any of his armored goons...save for that poor wretch in the brig..."
"...Topaz.." Liz said to herself.
"Yeah...well she bought the farm when the rest of the crew did."
"He is long gone..." She said softly as she moved towards the back of the room.
"Yeah but to where, we haven't left any ground to go to..."
Liz shivered some as she knew her worst fears were realized and leading her to believe many more of them would be so as well.
"We have a new player in town..." Liz said as she shifted her look to the shadow filed corner of the room.
"Commander?" Holbrook asked.
Liz shook her head. "How soon can you get me back to 220?"
"A day maybe three...the Vigneault is on its way as we speak to take this ship in tow."
"Mmhm" Liz said turning and walking out of the room. She added as she passed the Captain. "Should probably just blow this ship to dust..."
He watched her go and looked out once more over the silent bridge. He was not entirely sure the Commander was wrong about that. While behind the departing commander and Captain Holbrook a worn and dry voice continued to ramble on...
I just want the darkness to absorb me.
...make me disappear.
...take me away.
forever...
The darkness brings us together...
...The darkness holds no fear.
...The darkness conceals all flaws.

Josh rose from his knees as he was tossed into the darkened cell and charged to the door in one fluid rage fueled moment. His eyes burning a wild silver, the temporary drugs he had been given to dull his vast ESPer abilities was beginning to wear off. His large shoulder slammed into the unseen field and it sparked all around him, he felt it give...but barely.
The two guards merely looked...unaffected by his actions, so he pushed with all of his might both physical and mental and he felt the field give...despite the searing shock running through that side of his body. SHe roared again in anger, frustration and pain as he was flung back to the middle of the shadow entrenched room. He snapped his head up to the guards and sneered at them...
"It weakens and I only grow stronger...." Josh cried to them. "You should have killed me when you had the chance!"
He frowned....something was definitely off here...they did not look or appear frightened at all. In fact..the pair looked....
...rather bored.
"Do you not understand what i will do to you...both of you when I get free?!" He screamed at them. "You can not stand against us any longer....we have become gods...you are...."
"But insects before us...yadda yadda yadda..." A voice said from the shadows....inside the cell from behind him. He whirled immediately, stunned he had not sensed anyone this close...
The taunting..very familiar voice continued. "Jesus and Cheese Wiz on a cracker like don't you god wannabe like ever say anything diff? Like hello? New script stage four!"
Josh steeled himself for the blow that...should have come already. He squinted his eyes and could almost make out her form in the shadows of his cell.
"I...I know you..." He stammered out...feeling disoriented now..and unsure why....he could not find her mind...to confirm what he thought he already knew. "Why can't i read...you..why can't i think straight..."
"Well there titan-poseur...its a good bet I soooooo wouldn't come near you unless I had a plan..as to like why you can't think straight...well thanks to Diamond and your blind stubbornness...the plan was really basic pookey."
The form stepped out of the shadows, wearing some kind of stylized starfleet uniform, a throwback to a century ago...so similar to the Salvation Uniform she and he both once wore...yet so different...he recognized her face and froze.
"Aquarius..." He breathed his silver eyes flashing...he reached out to ignite her the nerves of her body while simlautanously stroking her out...and suddenly all he could hear was...a cacophony of a sweetly sung children's song ..over and over...each multiple part sung by HER...over and over and over...echoing through his mind...
"What...how??" He snarled as he tried to concentrate.
"Aww what is it Joshie Poo?..." She was carrying something in her hands...he could not make it as she grew closer, a confident sway to her hips and a smirk on her face as she cooed to him. "Did you try and attack my mind?? Really? Like Seri-for-reals? You thought i might be stupid enough to come anywhere near you and your Diamond DOminated brain-pan unprepared..."
The wretched song cascaded through his entire being, he slapped his hands to ears and dropped to his knees before her.
"You've been a bad boy Josh...we gave you a chance..your brother and I...a chance to get clean...or at least cleanish...and look what you did with it..." She knelt before him, humming to him softly the song she knew was inside of his head.
"No! No!!!" He wailed tears forming in his eyes. "For GOD SAKES! MAKE IT STOP!"
"Why? Is this not an ordered song? Set rhythms, precision singing with elegantly concise lyric order?" She said sweetly. "Why Josh..is not order the gee wiz gosh golly salvation of the whole universe?"
"PLEASE! IT DOESN'T STOP PLEASE!" He looked up her and found her gaze, his silver eyes burning brightly.
"Can't even focus in for an attack....or even form clear cohesive thoughts...ordered Chaos...Chaotic order.." She giggled. "I figure if I stay long enough to chat and catch up with everything you and Diamond have been up too ..you will end up crazier than a dog in a fire hydrant factory...wow...this totally has to be just so awful for you..."
Josh reached out tears streaming down his face..."Liz...please...make it all go away..."
Liz smiled some "Is this what you truly wish?"
"Yes...please god please..."
"And like you want this...I've so got your consent Honey Bunny?"
"Yes please!"
"And you are soo gonna stay put and get some help to make your little brother proud of you someday?"
"YES" He begged her desperately as the song cascaded deeper into his mind.
Liz gingerly lifted up the object to show him the slimey glowing translucent worm like creature, right before she shoved the thing right into his face. She then sat back as he clawed at his face as the little being did are it had been designed to do eons ago. She watched as her one time friend fell back against the wall...and feel silent, shuddering. She leaned in an grabbed him by the chin and looked into his eyes. She watched as the silver...just drained out of them. When she spoke her tone was softer but still held a lethal edge....
"Now Joshua, the song should be gone...along with those nifty little god like powers you have abused...." She sighed. "Now this is just step one..there is another step...but after that step ..it's all gonna be up to you.."
He nodded as he held her gaze...defeated.
"Now step two is gonna make sure...Mr D can't just come back and plug right into you....you are so gonna get a fair chance this time." She stood up. "I suggest you use it wisely this time."
She turned and walked over to the door and nodded, stepping through it as the guards lowered the shields.
"Prep him for surgery...my team is already waiting in the facility's sickbay."
"Yes Commander..."
"He should be manageable now...I am heading back over to the docks. Have the surgeon call me once he is finished with Mr Cameron."
"Aye Commander."
Liz folded her arms behind her back and headed back to the turbolift which would take her to the shuttlebay. Softly whistling a pleasant little traditional French children's song.

He stood before the vast alter enshrouded by deep dark shadows, the alter that the high throne was placed upon. As he spoke keeping his eyes down, his voice echoed dimly in the dark as if the darkness somehow was abosrobing it.
"I don't understand..." He said tightly. "This was an out and out disaster...our loses..."
...DO NOT MATTER
He shivered some, it was as if her voice came from deep inside of him, despite what he truly was, despite his age and experience this creature of the dark somehow truly knew him...somehow was able to understand him....didnt she? She must....I..he paused and tried to press the issue at hand.
"But....Sapphire..."
...SERVED HER PURPOSE AS A WARRIOR IN BATTLE
He frowned at that, due to his recent injuries in battle he was not able to lead the attack on either her....her little blue pet....or that damn ship she protected. Nor could he deal with the assests required from the Sentinel...
"But the Weapon, the Source?"
BOTH ARE NOW ACTIVATED AS INTENDED
"Bluebird? The Sword...the Shield?"
ALL THREE ARE NOW WELL ALONG THE PATH TOWARDS THEIR DESTINED FATES
Another frown "I don't understand...how can this be...in the eyes of those nearest Artesia...we failed...."
OF COURSE, AS THIS IS THE ORDER OF THINGS
"The order....it is a damn near catastrophe..."
IS IT NOW?
"We will be shown as vulnerable...that we are only able to muster a small fleet to maintain order...our enemies are becoming aware of What the beast is...they now hold the source. The Sword and Shield continue to act in concert.. their ships ... their Allied Forces are seen as strong....defenders..."
YES
"How the hell does this benefit us?" He turned his eyes up into the high darkness to the silhouetted form high upon the throne of the vast cathedral. "This will embolden others to make their stand....to incite rebellion and chaos"
IT IS THE ORDER OF THINGS
"This is NOT order...it borders on madness...chaos is not order...It..." He stopped as he watched the shadow above him rise and moves down the stairs from atop her throne to him. Her form was incredibly feminine and moved with a soft elegant fluidic grace as she descended to him.
Mikail felt his fear, his doubts all of his pain from betrayal rise within as she drew closer. Yet all stopped gently as she reached out an almost delicate touch. Her pale white taloned like hand pressed to his chin with a whisper of a touch, the soft feel of a autumn's breeze at twilight.
"Ssssssh" The Dark said using her true voice for him now. "Mikail...ease your old hatred...ease all of your old wounds...they are preventing you from seeing..."
He trembled some at the touch that brought both fear and love...pain and delight...."I don't understand...what do I not see?"
"Why you are only seeing the first movement in an ancient symphony that has only just now begun..."
"I...."
She knelt gracefully before him yet still above his position on the stairs. She curled the taloned fingers of one pale hand just under his chin. She lifted his chin gently to let his silver eyed gaze fall into her black on black one.
"Trust in me Mikail as you have for so long...." She smiled a thin cool smile, at once lovely as it was terrifying. "They are already dancing to our music exactly as expected..."
She rested her cool forehead to his and added in an almost maternal voice...from deep within him again...
ALL OF THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE, IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN
As she held his gaze, she allowed him to experience and feel the extend of the symphony in progress...
A single tear slipped down one strong cheek as he now understood what the future held...it's almost undeniable beauty...
...and it's unspeakable horrors...

From high atop her black obsidian crystal throne she could feel, hear their song. Through out the stars she embraced their surreal and yet hauntingly beautiful choir. Across the reaches of this galaxy they sang their devotion, willing their hearts, minds and souls to her. She closed her pale cold eyes and opened her heart to embrace their symphony of devotion...
I just want the darkness to absorb me.
...make me disappear.
...take me away.
forever...
The darkness brings us together...
...The darkness holds no fear.
...The darkness conceals all flaws.
A small slip of a contented smile fell across her white lips, as below her crystal pedestal Diamond and the others now devoted utterly to her awaited.
Her children of the Silence....

From high atop her dark crystalline throne she gazed upon the visage of the Sentinel facing off with a vessel of the ancient Drell. The image floated above the palm of her pale taloned claw suspended in a black purple laced mist. The small swirling mist like cloud floated around her hand as she took great interest in the events as they unfolded. She listened with a dark amusement to the exchanges below on the moon, the devoted pilot and time walker continued their exchange with the Drell...as expected the Drell were enthralled by the walker of time..
Her amusement grew as well as she embraced the dark allegro like melody of the chase of her beloved Corruption as the spiritual songs of the foolish Deacon and Diamond's Own..tried in vain to fend off the inevitable.
Her crimson eyes flashed with some amusement as she sensed the little weasel like peddler's interference but allowing those twin faceless imbued attempted to restore the faith of the hunted being pursued. She could feel the struggle of the corrupted mind walker sing in battle with the darkness within as she too attempted to save the pair of lost souls.
Her jaw set in mild annoyance as she observed the perfect Shield stand her ground time and again against the shadows of the dark. She watched as the mind walker triumphed over her own darkness using the cursed sapphire laced power of the perfect shield...so regal and so powerful, the earnest devotion to her duty to protect...the strength of her incorruptible faith sickened her..
...The perfect shield would have to be dealt with in time...as prophesied of course...yet still very soon.
Her dark heart reveled at the fear her dear Corruption stoke from both the Deacon and the Diamond's chosen, even as they slipped from her grasp...it was of little concern. Their songs already belonged to her...the Corruption inevitably would claim them...they had both already let their pursuer in close...it was again only a matter of time now...
Her eyes returned to await the true purpose of this arranged performance...
Within her palm, a small flash of light appeared before the Sentinel in an expanding fiery detonation that signified the destruction of the Drell ship. Her lips formed a cruel smile as she listened to the end of each of the ancient songs aboard the ship, the shock, sadness and confusion sung by the crew of the Sentinel...
She closed her palm as the vision and the dark mist that held it softly vanished. She looked up into the shadows of her cathedral and smiled....
"And so it begins...."
She softly laughed a cruel yet ethereally beautiful laugh as her antediluvian composition continued, a dark symphony of unearthly beauty...
...that had just flowed elegantly into the next movement.

With great and gentle care she laid the head of the now unconscious guard to the carpeted floor. She reached down to check the guard's pulse, her rehabilitation colony jumpsuit in tatters, the soft pale blue spotted and smeared with some blood splatter from this last stand of the high security wings defenders. Arrayed around her feet lay more than a dozen of starfleet's finest security officer, piled near them was the weaponry they had gathered to stop her, following her escape from her cell. The alert lights still flashed and pulsed, the air still filled with the sirens to alert the compound of her escape...
She smiled some as she felt the young man's pulse, knowing he like the others would rise again. Though perhaps a little smarter next time, for this was the order of things. If one's life was not taken in battle they would learn and improve for the next engagement.
...that was the natural order of things.
She went over in her mind their procedures here at this hidden facility for such an escape, though that was not her only edge on her captors. Her eyes now glowed silver, glimmering in the darkened hallway. She too in the thoughts of the last few officers trying to rally around the transporter rooms...pulling back now from an aggressive hunt for her to a last stand of containment.
Good, She thought to herself. No more suffering or pain for them. She could easily avoid what remained now.
She closed her eyes and felt that her song had been heard...
...he was coming for her...
She frowned some, his symphony was not at rest....he was near enraged over her capture...
She had originally sought to gain access to the courtyard for her extraction...to show those who had captured her the folly of doing so when he arrived for her. Let them see as I am taken up into his light. Now, however...with his rage...given such a view of the whole facility....She rose after picking up a rifle and her silver gaze mentally mapped out another path. She immediately headed down deeper inside of the high security building. Her destination was now the maintenance corridors just under this building's basement.
Her powerful legs pushed her faster and harder than before, for he was close now. She had to protect him as much as those here who had sought to stop her...to cage her once more.
Ahead she felt their thoughts, their committed songs even before she saw them. She respected the two she was now charging head long into, both were almost as dedicated to their work as she was to hi and to his cause. However...this time she listened a little more...to the source of their dedication. One of the pair of guards....the Bolian male who just dropped to his knees and took aim at her with his rifle, his commitment to the cause of protection the Federation stemmed from the loving care his mother took all his life to show him that his strength and his size..was given to him to protect others....never to bully them...and he was to stand against such bullies.
His partner a human female, the one who charged at her firing to buy her partner the time needed to stun her. Even at the cost of her physical safety did so to make her father proud of her, a man who dedicated his life to keeping the Federation and her ships safe and man who was crippled by the klingons in the previous wars. A man who did not let this embittered him, passing the torch of family duty to her.
Admirable, her own heart sang even as she leapt to meet the guard charging her, dodging each shot fired at her with inhumanly fast reflexes., She drove her shoulder into the woman's chest and used her momentum to slam her up into the corridor's ceiling. She felt the breath leave the woman's body as she grabbed her and spun both of them towards her partner. Shot after shot on stun slammed him the unconscious guards armor as She was used now as a shield.
She was on the second guard in a heartbeat of time spinning into a violent pirouette she hurled his partner's body at him as he tried to rise from his knees. The body struck him in the chest, knocking him off of his feet. She completed her pirouette and drove her fist into the midsection of the unconscious woman and slammed both of their bodies into the carpeted deck. She heard both of their songs dim....their thoughts descending into sleep of the darkness of unconsciousness. She left them behind, even as she could hear the near panic in the voice over their coms trying in desperation to reach them. She descended down the stairs and towards the darkened maintenance tunnels.
She moved into the access hatch and out into the shadow filled hallway and was grabbed. She tensed at first..and then smiled as she felt the warmth of his song embrace her, the joy of finding her safe..
His brilliance filed the tunnel, his light chasing away the shadows. She could feel his initial joy now burning with rage and anger....
"I am safe....and free..." she said quickly, reaching up to cup his face and turn his gaze to her in a massive breach of familiarity. His eyes blazed at her and she trembled.
"They dared to hold you...dared to defy us!" He snapped. "They need to be taught a lesson...shown now to be an example..."
"Please...." She started only to be cut off.
"I tire of hiding...I tire of holding back...you could have been killed by that Magna Roman upstart and then they put you in here...as if you were nothing...as If i could not touch them! This whole place will burn!"
"NO!" A single defiant word. It came out so quickly she even startled herself when she said it.
The ice cold look of rage from Mister Diamond turned to her. "You dare...."
She seized upon her chance now, her song was full of how she felt for him. Even if he had just guessed before when she had tried to conceal it, she let him feel it now.
"Mikail...Mikail....please listen to me...they fought with honor, each one that faced me...they did not deserve to die...so I did not take their lives. This is the order of things...there are no horrors in this place. What you suggest is chaos...and that is not our way....that is not the way you showed me..."
His gaze remained burned into hers now. Yet the volume of his symphony's performance abaded some. Her words...her song...were reaching his through his anger.
"We are Order my love..." She trembled as she held his gaze. "Were they chaos...were they dishonor...we would purge this place and my sword would cut first for you..."
His gaze softened as her heart's song was fully revealed to him, her dedication, her commitment to him and to his cause...and yet...he detected the elements of another. An older, more familiar song...she had been here....she had sang to Sapphire and his paladin had not caved...yet...
"Sapphire..." He spoke to her gently, reaching up to lay a hand over one of hers holding his face. "This place..."
"I am your sword and your shield, my love...wielded as such to lay down my life to protect you....from your enemies..." She reached up to touch her lips to his just once before leaning back to whisper gently...
"...and even from yourself..."
His rage faded now with each moment her song performed before him. Her silver gaze now filled with its pure dedication and its love erased the feeling of wounded pride...of personal pain.
"And you have always done..." He reached up and with both hands lowered hers from his. "Let us return to others...I have now..what i truly came for."
She lowered her gaze and her heart soared. He may be lost, she thought, but he had heard her.
He smirked some as her thoughts washed over his...
...in an instant both were gone in a flash of light. Leaving the corridor once more bathed in shadows. From deep within this newly born darkness, a shape lithely moved and looked up at the corridor's ceiling. Sensing the chaos the escape created still above. The figured smiled and began to move towards the stairs leading back up ...
...as she felt it was time to feed...

As she walked through the eternal night of the shadows she could feel, hear their ever present song. She embraced its haunting tone of devotion, their voices, their hears adding to the symphony through out the stars. She as always embraced the almost ethereal and yet undeniably lovely choir of voices. Across the reaches of this galaxy they sang their sheer devotion, willing their hearts, minds and souls to her. She closed her pale cold eyes and opened her heart to embrace their symphony of devotion.
Rage burned deeply in her heart this night as she attempted to sooth it with the song of her followers. They had awakened her chosen from long ago, a true dedicated spirit, one longing for order, yet still young and unfocused by her youth. She had struck out on her own as the Dark had observed her from afar and lashed out at the rebellious at heart, the dedicated soldier of chaos that served aboard the troublesome starship Sentinel..
...they had taken her from the Darkness. Sealed her away with the Avynei...imprisoned her heart even as the undying Trill and Courage/Stubbornness had begun to poison her mind...defeated by their soldiers...Varel...and the SHIELD...the warrior imbued by Courage and fueled by a perfection of devotion...
...Soon she would take the SHIELD...very soon.
She looked out across the vast emptiness of the void and watched the wretched ship Adagio, side by side with the Sunchaser lead the others across the nothing. The scar she had no choice but to leave as a reminder. They grow too bold...Hope/Despair's arrogant little captain...how much she dares...patronizing her dear Ankos...defying her order...
She drew a breath from the deep dark surrounding her and let the glorious songs of dedication and love for her into her heart...
I just want the darkness to absorb me.
...make me disappear.
...take me away.
forever...
The darkness brings us together...
...The darkness holds no fear.
...The darkness conceals all flaws.
A small slip of a contented smile fell across her black lips, as she opened her eyes and looked down across the gently sleeping form of the young Yanda female. She reached out one pale black taloned hand and softly caressed her cheek.
"Sleep well, My Dear Ynera..." She cooed in a soft purr of a tone. "For I have such sights to show you...."
"...such sights..."
Across oceans of stars...simultaneously The Dark...
...allowed a small slip of a contented smile fall across her black lips, as she opened her eyes and looked down across the sleeping form of the of the Klingon woman. She reached out one pale black taloned hand and softly caressed her cheek as she slept on the metal slab of her bed.
"Sleep well, My Dear Warrior K'ria..." She cooed in a soft purr of a tone. "For I have such sights to show you...."
"...such sights..."

As she within the eternal night of the shadows, before her dark obsidian throne she stared with deep intent at the floating image before her. Six gleaming starships seemingly floated before her, the soft glow of the image illuminating her pale white chiseled features. Her pointed jaw set as she could almost feel the song of arrogant defiance so predominantly emanating from one of the ships. Such a bold act of a defiance, a song of destructive viciousness for her perfect order.
She could feel the rage ignite within...
"Mistress..."
She did not need to look away from the hateful image before her, to know Diamond had appeared from the darkness to stand just behind her. Whens he spoke her voice chillingly echoed within her chamber around them.
"Yes, dear?" She kept her eyes fixed on the approaching starships before her. "You bring me news..."
"Yes.." He said.."It's not good..."
The Dark's eyes narrowed..."Report..."
Diamond proceeded. "As you know the The Ghevarnae's gambit with the Gigantes was defeat for them. They ....
"They were deceived by that foolish imbued child Ashala..." The Dark said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Why tolerate her any further Mistress?" Diamond inquired. "Strip her of your gifts...let her face the rot of time...Then we..." He stopped as she brought up her taloned hand...
"Leave her for now...she is still a great resource of mine aboard that ship...she still very much serves her purpose among that crew..."
"But..she..Captain Desty and..."
"Enough, Ashala is doing exactly what I require her to do....right where she is...." The Dark smiled a cruel humorless grin just for a moment. "Tell me of the Kirtascan attempt..."
Diamond sighed, "An abject failure. Their entire operations team is now in custody...including Inquisitor Vardonna Silist .."
"I see...well perhaps then I shall pay a visit to High Pontiff Valacar Du'herr and ....request an explanation..." She chuckled a haunting amused laugh now.
Diamond tried hard not to reveal his disgust and horror at what such a meeting would entail for the High Pontiff, still..the attack on the Pilgrim was as short sighted as the attack on the Gigantes.
Diamond drew a breath and prepared himself for what was to come next..."The Ulsa have reached the Citadel..."
The look of dark amusement vanished from her pale features...she slowly looked to him. "Impossible...who dared interfere?"
"The Sentinel..."
"I was assured by that fool Daran and Archon Ilon that they had isolated the Ulsa Nursery and drove it deeper into the stars ...and its destruction was near?"
"It would appear they might have been overly optimistic..."
"I am hardly amused by this...where was the Apostate fleet? Was there not a Coln Confederation War Cruiser and two Travynei ships in the area?"
"The Confederation Ship....Daran's ship was disabled...Ilon took her two Travynei ships into slipstream to pursue the Sentinel ...and two Ulsa drones..."
"They were obliterated by the Citadel forces..." It was a statement from her more than a inquiry.
"The Human Compton and Commander S'Vian of the Avynei cruiser present...destroyed the slipstream, collapsing it on Ilon's ships..."
"I see..."
"We also have confirmed Syndra is being held at the Citadel..." Diamond began.
"That does not matter...she served my will enough...I've no more use for her...she was but a doorway...let them do what they please...no one will support her. She is all but finished."
"As you wish mistress..." He looked a the image before her and stiffened. "Mistress!"
The Dark smiled "So ...you recognize the ship?"
"You know I do..." He said darkles.
"I can see why she frustrates you...."
"I defeated her in battle...and cut her more recent pet to pieces...We can handle this..."
"Oh? " Amused once again, the Dark continued. "Perhaps...the seeds of discontent are also flourishing...I did not wish this to go this way...but this one..."
She waved her long taloned hand and a second image appeared beside the first, an image of Talia stood before them both. "This one continues to persist into conflict.."
"I should have cut off her head, instead of her arm..." Diamond seethed.
"Perhaps...in lieu of our current string of failure...I may allow you to do so....however I have something different in store for them..."
Diamond flinched at the mention of 'them'. "Yes Mistress..."
"Now dear...there are other matters in need of my attention.."
The twin images ceased and what little light there was in the chamber was extinguished, bathing the room in unforgiving darkness. She took her leave then, only Diamond now stood in the vast silence of the dark chamber.
"Yes Mistress...we all do"

Her eyes burned with deep levels of near reality rendering rage from the impossible darkness of her chamber. The center of which was now lit by the soft warm blue glow of the new star that burned out brightly in the center of her 'Ocean'. All but mocking her example...a testament to the defiance she had borne witness to from that ship.....from that captain ....from her 'sisters'...
She had seethed at the audacity of being called out as she unleashed her hordes to dispatch the annoyance created by the allied battle group...Diamond's little blue irritant proved to be far much more than he had believed her to be...they had even forced him to withdraw before the assault...
...WITHDRAW!
She closed her clawed hands tightly, with the force to crush worlds, her tail snapping through the abyss like shadows cracking across the tiled floors with near tectonic strength.
She did not fear! She boldly declared this!! Questioned the perfection of the very order she swam in the middle of! They had wantonly displayed a level of disrespect unheard of as they embraced chaos in open defiance of her order.
The crimson eyes narrowed and focused on the new star and the sapphire light is emitted....
SHE DID NOT FEAR DID SHE?
The Dark threw her searing gaze to the very upper reaches of her realm and roared a deep dark insanity fueled cry, a unrestrained bestial howl that shook the very foundations of her temple. A roar that rippled through the very fabric of reality and reverberated around the very pillars of creation. Her animalistic cry of unrestrained fury washed over her legions tearing into their very hearts, sending those within her templed tossed sharply into the walls by the sheer cosmic force of it...
She returned her yes back to the Black Ocean and the affront that remained there and beyond towards its distant shore, to her very defiers. She had tried to be lenient, to allow them time to see there could be another way, that the way it had occurred millions of years ago did not need to repeat itself...it now appears a lesson had once more to be taught...
It was again time to remind those what true order was...
...yes, she thought. She had been far too lenient.
...far far too lenient.

The soft gentle caress of the cool night air wafted gently through her dress as she strode across the face of a dozen worlds simultaneously. Each of their moons enshrouded by dark clouds as whereever she walked the storm rose in time with the rage still burning within her chest. The various landscapes were filled with deep dark shadows as she strode upwards across the face of each mountain top, until she reached the top. She raised her head and turned her red laced black on black eyes out across the multitude of the various vast landscapes...
...So they did not know fear...
...So they chose to reject true order...
She hissed as her massive taloned hands closed tightly, her tail sweeping majestically behind her.
...So then,...I shall bring them true chaos, once more.....
She swept her anger fueled gaze down into the darkened valleys that stretched out beneath her, her enshrouded form occasionally lit by severe flashes of lightening. She reached out to the slumbering minds, long ago buried within the soil of each world and spoke just one word into their ears....
"AWAKEN"
One by one she felt them stir, she felt the dread in the heart of the fool who led the Tzenkethi burn darkly...one by one she departed from the worlds were the beasts of fear stirred....save for one. She looked down from her mountain top to the distant lights below and smiled...at the sleeping city that served as the capital of Bajor...
She then looked up to the stars and could already feel the spread of fear...the growing terror...
"So then, " She smiled a rictus grin devoid of humor as she whispered to the shadows.
"...I shall bring them true chaos...once more."
With those words spoken she stepped back once more into the shadows...leaving only the sound of the wind of the night, as below...
...sleeping giants began to stir.
