To all crew:
A request has been sent to the Captain and made upon dock, several days from now, that the ship be put on minimal duty so it may be used in a battle of supremacy to find out which kingdom doth rule the ship.
The rules are simple:
1.The weapons used will be air-powered spongy dart-throwers. There is no restriction of use or ammo. Bows, guns, slings, etc are all allowed. 2.You must Register your kingdom before the game begins, along with the kingdoms leader. All other members are free to do as they will. 3.Once registered a leader he/she is considered IN PLAY regardless of time frame; Assassinations and betrayals are allowed at anytime after registration. 4.You may register 1 room as your capital. You claim territory by planting your flag in rooms. Rooms must be claimed adjacently. (You cannot rule Engineering and immediately take the bridge) 5.If you own multiple territories and several territories are cut off by capture, you maintain control of those territories, however, you cannot capture surrounding territories until you reestablish the link with the lost territory. 6. YOU MUST UPDATE CAPTURE TERRITORIES. If it's not listed on the map (program provided below) it is not a legal capture. 7.You lose when your Capital is lost, regardless of how many outlying territories you have. 8. Revivals are done at the Capital. If you should be shot and killed, a teammate must help you back to your capital for revival. If a leader is taken to an enemy capital, their team loses. 9. If a capital or ruler is captured, all remaining territories that are directly linked to the capital become the conquering teams. If there are non-adjacent territories they become neutral. 10. Should time run out or we are ordered to stand down, the kingdoms will be tallied and recorded for future continuation.
Subnote: If you are with a lost kingdom you have several options: Join another kingdom (if they'll have you), join the conquering kingdom (if they'll have you) or quit the game entirely (go to dock and hang your head in shame).
Here is the program that will show the kingdoms and update as the game progresses: pwnagekingdoms.ini
May the best kingdom win!... it's going to be mine, but good luck anyway!

RE: Sponge War Recreation Exercise - Location Restrictions
In order to maintain ship's security and avoid any possibility of damage or interference with readiness preparations, I must insist that all secured areas of the ship: the Bridge, Engineering, Armory, Transporter Rooms, escape pods, and all Shuttlebays, be declared neutral territory and off-limits for all but on-duty personnel for the duration of this so-called exercise. The other locations are at your discretion, Captain, but I will not allow Engineering to be used as a recreational tool at the expense of performing maintenance.

Adjustments are made as thus:
Areas deemed off-limits will be considered bridge zones. Non-capturable territories that are basically free adjacent spaces. That should fix the gap issue. Request submission of formally declared bridge territories.

RE: Sponge War Recreation Exercise, "Bridge zone" List.
Dear Lieutenant Jacobs,
Here is the preliminary list of areas asked to be treated under the rules of "Bridge zones". during the grand sponge battle recreational exercise. This list may be changed further by either myself or the Captain.
Deck 1 - The Bridge - (Unless the ship is stood down so that there is absolutely no on duty personnel on the bridge, If so you will be informed.) - Escape Pod access (Dorsal) - The exercise shall take care to not block these access. - Jefferies tubes - (If the including of some of these tubes are necessary for the game, we will look in to allowing some that pose no safety hazard)
Deck 2 - Main Engineering - - Lab - If the Chief science officer agrees to, and secures this room to a safe extent, this room may be included. - Sickbay - - Transporter room 2 - Transporter alcove 1 on deck one shall be taken offline and allowed to be fought over. (If preferred, I am open to switching) - Main Armory - - Computer core Access - - Escape pod Access (Fore/Aft) - The exercise shall take care to not block these access. - Jefferies tubes - (If the including of some of these tubes are necessary for the game, we will look in to allowing some that pose no safety hazard)
Deck 3 - Cargo bay 3 - Shuttle bay 2 (It is my aim to have the two other bays open for the battle, However I will come back to you with a final verdict on that) - Primary Airlocks - (The applies only to the one in use if docked, the exercise shall take care to not block this access.) - Warhead Control - - Escape pod access (Ventral) - The exercise shall take care to not block these access. - Secondary Armory - Jefferies tubes - (If the including of some of these tubes are necessary for the game, we will look in to allowing some that pose no safety hazard)
Deck 4 - All of deck 4.
Addition: - Personnel on duty shall not be hindered, interrupted or fired upon under any circumstances.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions or if you have needs for the exercise to be as enjoyable and safe as possible that I can help you with.
Second addition.
Request to join faction "Vulcanian Dynasty"
I look forward to an awesome time!
Love, Lieutenant Desiree Clerie, Acting XO, USS Protector.
((OOC note, Thanks to Nalie for posting the list of rooms. I based this on her list. If there is rooms such as weapons room, cloakrooms or other rooms of simular characteristics, Those are included on this list =) ))

Re: That long list of disappointment you sent me.
It might have been a shorter list if you just told us which areas we COULD play.. err.. do battle in.
This effectively places the entire ship out of bounds. I don't know if you noticed, but this is not a large ship.
Subnote: You do not need to declare fealty, as it's non-binding.

RE: List of disappointments
Dear Lieutenant Jacobs,
I am sorry that you feel my effort of maximizing the areas of the ships that can safely be used for the play has been insufficient. Unfortunately I am well aware of the size of this tiny ship, and how it is built around the weapons, defense and mobility with absolutely minimal areas for anything but the most necessary. Thus making any for of wider recreational activity hard.
However the list sent to you is preliminary, and I would happily work on you on increasing the space where we can play without compromising minimum operations or safety. While at the present time you have more then half of the accessible space of the ship (If we are able to get those shuttle bays, admittedly) but I appreciate how you wish to have more area for this activity.
Please let me know witch areas that I in my preliminary found inappropriate for this exercise that you believe could be made safe and sane to include.
My concerns are following: -Not disrupting the operations of the ship. The idea however is to have as little people on board that are not participating. -Not to block evacuations in case of an incident -No battle in any room/area at the time containing weapons or ammunition. -No battle in a rooms/areas where even a minor, otherwise insignificant error could cause damage or issues. -Not to compromise the minimum safety of the vessel nor the crew who serve her. -No entry of Engineering.
With these concerns in mind, I am open to discuss any ideas you have how we can make this to the best game with our available resources and situation.
I look forward to your reply.
Yours,
Lieutenant Desiree Clerie,
Acting XO, USS Protector.
