The halls of the Cho'Sek were made of some type of reddish-brown metal, reminiscent somewhat of Klingon ships. You might think they were dirty, or grimy, or maybe even rusty -- but close examination reveals that this is simply the way that this material looks, and it is in fact kept immaculately clean. The corridors here are an isosceles trapezoid, with lighting that never seems to quite be sufficient. They all trail off into darkness, and are a stark contrast to Federation designs.
From time to time, various crewmen -- all the same species as the Prelate, but without his gills or secondary eyelids -- hustle past. They are focused on doing their job and pay you little heed, except to look at you with sunken eyes ringed by dark circles. Most of them are bald. A few have hair, and you may notice that it appears to be the higher ranking officers. Nobody has explained how rank works on this ship, but clearly, some officers have more gold rings on their biceps than others.
The attendant smiles at you. "Where would you like to see first? Our Engineering department? The computer core? Crew dining hall? So much to see, and the choice is yours." He squeezed his hands together as he awaited a response from the away team.

"Engineering would be great. But the others might veto me." Aria added with a chuckle before her attention momentarily shifted to a passing crewman, their rundown look compared to the lavish dinner they had just eaten with the ships Captain gave her an uneasy feeling deep down but didn't let it affect her diplomatic facade she presented towards their host.
"So um what's you're species homeworld like?" Aria asked trying to stir some innocuous conversation while she waited for the others to chime in.

The attendant wasted no time and began to vigorously nod as Aria suggested that they visit engineering first.
"Come, come! I'll show you Engineering first." He smiled and gestured that they should follow. He led them through corridors, unnumbered and unmarked, somehow finding his way. The corridors felt like they were doubling back on themselves, but he kept walking with intent.
"Oh, our homeworld? Very cosmopolitan. If you like city life, you'd like it there, yes! Very rainy, though. It's almost always raining." The attendant turned to Aria and smirked. "That's why I like it on our vessels. There is no rain here."

Aria listened intently as the walked, she tried to follow their progression to make a mental map of where they were going but found the layout disorienting and her attempt futile.
"I've noticed different anatomical features between various members of your crew and yourself. If it's ok to ask um is that like a different stages in the life cycle thing or possibly different subspecies?" Aria momentarily looked at T'pang to make sure she wasn't overstepping her bounds.

T'Pang follows along silently, only speaking when she is addressed with a question. "I would be curious to see everything you are willing to show us. I will allow you to select what order you show it in." she replies her tone polite and respectful. When Aria looks to her she will nod her approval, showing her that her questions are not over stepping any unspoken bounds.

The Attendant nodded and smiled. "We call that The Way of Things. You see, this whole region of space was devastated many years ago. It was all lost to history from our perspective, but certain traditions survived. Our technology allowed us to give certain groups within our society the Gift. That's what you've been noticing."
He stepped through a door, which opened far more quickly than a Federation door. It revealed the sight of an engine room consisting of what looked like many pipes and tanks. In stark contrast to the clean Federation design, it was like a maze of tubes.
"We use a multi-stage matter-antimatter reactor. Judging by the sensor profile of your ship, it looks like you use something similar."

Aria nodded looking slightly confused by their layout.
"Are these accessory structures or... are you running multiple small reaction chambers in sequence to progressively produce adequate plasma flow?"
