7.) What is your basic character concept & history?
Betazoid security officer, graduated near the end of the Klingon War, saw combat in the Iconian War. Telepathy has been honed for use in battle, and unlike most Betazoids she is more than willing to intrude on a target's thoughts (usually for the purpose of determining their intentions or sensing their attacks before they happen). Also capable of using "Offensive Empathy" to incapacitate a target, even from a distance, or anticipate their intentions when attacking to mitigate or avoid the attack itself. Her abilities make her both an asset and a potential liability, and her willingness to use them aggressively have been a cause for concern among fellow officers.
8.) Please give a little background about this character.
Milla was born in 2396. Both parents were Betazoids, with her father having joined Starfleet and her mother serving as an ambassador to a small planet she never knew the name of. Her mother was killed in an accident when Milla was 12, forcing her to relocate to live with her father, who was at the time stationed at Starbase 19. During the period following her mother's death, Milla became more and more interested in both combat and the more aggressive uses of telepathy. At 18, she joined Starfleet, where she placed in the middle of the class academically. Her combat scores were exceptional, however, and she was tapped almost immediately for combat on the front lines.
Her career, aside from mostly successful combat operations, has been marred on three occasions by insubordination and and a total of three fights with a squadmate. Despite the issues, her record kept her on a mostly upward track, and by the end of the Iconian War she reached the rank of Lieutenant. Her last assignment before requesting a transfer to the Pilgrim was aboard the USS Argentina as a Gamma shift security lead.
