Astrid runs her hands through the sands of LMC-3031, looking out toward, stalking even the horizon. Her sister, her father, her mother - everyone she had known and everyone for hundreds of generations had journeyed to Valhall or Fólkvangr now. The 'Captain' had been rather vague of how much time had passed, only that it was a lot. Though the 'Captain' said she came from many tribes and the 'Lieutenant' claimed to be a Gaul (though Astrid suspected her to be a Jötunn pretending to be a Gaul); the people who greeted her seemed alien. They sailed the night-sky in strange ships that generated their own wind, had little devices with elf's in them for communication and had been given the power of lightning for their weapons. Sacrificing animals and people to the Gods was also off the table now, Astrid remained sceptical that these modern tribes may invoke their wrath; but she had also been assured that the Gods were okay with it.
She exhaled slightly, scribbling pictures into the sand with her finger. Looking across to where the 'Lieutenant' was standing guard, somewhat blinded by the setting sun she rose to her feet. Trudging through the still hot sand, across the camp toward her. "Excuse me." she said, craning her neck up toward Valerie. "Where is the 'Captain'?"

Valerie stood frowning under the sun, having leaned lightly on one of the sensor arrays, sweating and aching all over, since she did not allow herself the luxury of rotating off-world or even spending too much time in the cool, pleasant tents, knowing she has to give an example to her teams. Once she was adressed, she looked down and said politely:
"She went to inform our superiors of ze developments down 'ere. Should you need to speak to 'er, I can call 'er."

"There is something I would like to speak to her about." she nodded once.
"If you could call her." she ponders a moment
"I might need your help too."

"I shall be 'appy to 'elp, so long as it does not take me away from my duties for too long." The frenchwoman nodded, then pressed on her commbadge.
"Capitaine, are you available? Astrid wishes to speak to you."

Liz blinked as she shut down the PADD she had been using to 'update' someone on the current situation and smirked some. She rose from the rok where she had been sitting, htting her combadge with one fluid motion. She looked back over towards the camp as she spoke.
"Go for Poppa Palpatine"

"'Ello, capitaine. Astrid said she may be needing our aid. I shall allow 'er to elaborate."
Valerie moved closer to Astrid, pointing to her commbadge.
"Speak, she can 'ear bozh of us at ze same time."

Astrid leans in toward the combadge, maybe too close. She seems to speak into it clearly, so they elves can hear her, assumedly. "Captain, I would like your help and the 'Gauls' help to recover my weapon and my armor. It is important to me, and if the natives are near then it is wise to prepare for battle. I remember before I was put into that... thing, they took my armor and stored it in a crypt about Seven-Thousand Five Hundred big paces, not little Imperial Paces, big ones west of here. I would be happy if you and the 'Gaul' would come and help me with this, your strange tools might be useful."

Liz smiled some, moderately impressed how well their new guest seemed to be adapting to 25th century life.
She quickly responded in a more professional tone. "It would be an honor sweetie, tell the Gaul to alert Alex that we will be taking this little jaunt and I am good to go when you two are."
