The young sandy haired Risian nurse poked her head into the door, “You have a visitor.” she cheerfully announced.
Ezri of course was not paying attention, she had her earbuds in and was lost in the must from this new band called 'Ember of a Waning Sun'. The unsuspecting Trill bopped along to the music until the huge shadow fell upon her. Ezri's eye grew wide as she looked up to she the huge Nausican female standing over her hospital bed.
The Nausican woman wearing a tube top and a floral patterned skirt stood over Ezri and looked down at her with an expression that Ezri was unsure of. She was either trying to convey sympathy or she was hungry.
The woman saw the welt on Ezri's forehead and suddenly looked sad, “I am so sorry little one, I don't know my own strength.” she said moving in closer.
Ezri tried to scramble away as the Nausican woman came in for a hug. “it's okay, I am fine..” Ezri said, her voice higher on the edge of panic.
Ezri was not able to get away because of the railing on the hospital bed and the Nausican scooped her up into her giant arm and gave the Trill a smothering squeeze. The air was audibly pressed out of her body.
The Risian nurse peeked into the room again, Ezri gave her a pleading look and tried to call for help, but could not manage to say anything the nurse could hear.
The Risan nurse smiled, “aw, how adorable.” she said cheerfully before disappearing again.
The Nausican woman released Ezri and the Trill flopped back onto the bed gasping for air. “Don't you worry Deejz is here to take care of you now.” The Nausican said baring her fangs. Ezri hoped she was smiling, but she had no way of knowing for sure.
Ezri started to climb out of bed and the Nausican stopped her, “You need to stay in bed, do you need some water?” she asked.
Ezri shook her head, “No I really think I need to go.”
“Don't be silly the doctor hasn't released you yet.” the woman responded.
Ezri's breathing quickened, as her escape was cut off...

Recent Bulletins which may be found and heard spoken of around the resort on Risa...
- Witnesses have reported a gathering of feathered monkeys near the secluded waterfall path. Witness accounts are conflicting as to the possible purpose of their gathered numbers.
- Starfleet personnel have been seen in multiple venues in recent days sharing their musical talents. In particular 'Embers of a Waning Sun' were heard as an opening band for the Sons of None concert. Additional performances of Captain Reins and his band can be found at the Riverboat, as well as ad-hoc performances by inspired crews at several of the watering holes about the resort.
- Several anomalous sightings of a short strawberry blonde woman in anachronistic clothing, reminiscent of that seen in documentaries about the Woodstock concert, have been investigated with no actual recording of her image or informational scans. Sensor data recovered after the fact has not been useful in verifying if these sightings are a part of the current situation or not.
- A crime was reported this morning just before midday. Dr. DeLancey reported to the resort security that there had been unauthorized access into the suite registered to herself and Lt Aquila. While reporting that nothing of value has been taken, the doctor is understandably upset by the violation of privacy.
- Power board Racing has seen a new class entered this year, with addition of riders of power board motors without the power board control structure. Many are holding a 'wait and see' attitude, to determine if this fad will grow in popularity or fade away.
