Aboard the USS Andromache, deep within her saucer lay the massive CIC, or combat information center. All around the primary holo-display officers and aides from several of the alliance's navies worked side by side with the Andromache's staff, collecting and posting gather intel and issuing the orders to carry out the current on going operations...
She stood before the primary plot and took in it's display, receiving the overlay of all of the coordinated operations of "Arfacio's Gambit'. As she took this in Admiral Susan Compton, commanding officer of Starfleet's 22nd Mobile fleet, newly appointed 'Allied Supreme Commander' felt the weight of an entire galaxy on her shoulders tonight..
Here is began, the final to allow a bold gamble. A massive unified push against the three apostate powers who had for over year and a half embroiled this part of the large Magellanic Cluster in a deadly war. She could feel StarnzKommander Shuul's massive bulk arrive from behind and quietly weight. This large reptilian officer, one of the many species of the Kzari Republic look over the displays with her. Her eyes infinitivally went coreward towards the 2031 Sector Block, where the Kzari led a massive invasion into the Abyss Nebula and had along with the aid of the Skara, Klingons and Romulans pinned the Chantry back into its own borders...She thought of the many destructive raids by an unknown 'allied asset' leading up to this offensive ..not to mention what said asset was forced to endure as intelligence vital to this raid was gathered...
She had heard as well about the destruction of the Chantry's massive flagship, the battleship known as 'The Crucible of order and its escorting starships. Again a battle group led by an asset recommended by the other unnamed asset...the thought of this made Susan smirked, said asset had a way of doing such things. Still she thought, it was necessary to see that the Adagio and Yukikaze were made available and as such not only did this other unnamed asset see to the end of the Chantry's flagship...but the Adagio saw to the end of the Chantry's attempt to set up a sensor buoy network system that might've led to a renewed offensive directed up the Kzari Corrdior...so for now... the Chantry had been pinned down....
Her eyes returned Spiward to Sector 2030, the primary home for her forces...the Citadel and the long silent Artesia... The Kzari had now launched a strike at the outer Coln Confederation worlds, using Hessok Iomar as a staging star system...the chaos of such an offensive had effective pined down the Coln now as well... all still part of the distraction. The Sentinel and her Task Force had locked down and reinforced the Xao star system and had set down a sensor buoy network to keep the Coln from using the Apostate Nebula as a staging area... more tightening of the grip on the throats of their enemies...
Susan now looked now looked to the 2029 Sector Block, and smirked a weary smirk as new reports had come in that the Manta had commenced its run on the Imperium supply depot in Imperial IOC-01 . The Pilgrim and the rest of her task force were about to strike and draw those persistent Tanausan guarding starships away from their post. However further reports had another fleet of enemy warships led y another command carrier and two smaller carriers enroute towards Brexyian space..
"Shit..." She hissed. Reading further she saw that the Manta had been successful in drawing away the guardians of the gateway...perhaps too successful. She ran her eyes over the data stream and then looked to Shuul.
"I shall alert Donal immediately..." He hissed out, already calculating where to position some of the massive reserves the Kzari had held aback over Hessok Iomar. "The Howar and Scyrthi should..."
A tonal yet armored muffled voice "We can see Starnzkommander..." The Scyrithi representative nodded and padded the much larger reptilian officer on the back "We have sent our own word out.."
"As have we... the Yanda are trying to see if the E'Croatians can be of aid..." Said the Howar Field Marshall. "They often have scouts in the area.."
"Do what you can..." Susan snapped and pointed at the Manta and Pilgrim TF signals "I will not leave my people out to hang..."
Even as they heeded to her commands the Admiral snapped out ...
"Move it... get me that support...NOW!"
She turned back as the moved to contact their respective commands and contacts... she guided her eyes up to watch the lights designated for Arfacio's ships... wink out..one at a time...only...instead of two lights...a third light winked out...
Susan thought now about just who that might've been now and shook her head. She then knew just who Arfacio had found for that pesky side mission...
... and god help them all.
