Alerio was laying in his assigned cabin on board the Pilgrim. He had finished his last personal log and then quickly fell asleep from the exhaustion of the nightmare that was the Sentinel and its nonsense. He was self assured in his dislike for that crew and ship. He was convinced they were trying to kill him. Not to mention the furball of darkness that fed on fear and induced fear in a fun loving, adorable psychotic kind of way.
He had woken up about an hour ago, but had elected to stay in bed and wrote a letter to H’Drian back on the Citadel. He wasn’t entirely certain what he would call the Romulan, they were a port in the storm? An Acquaintance? Fun time? It made him squeamish to think about it. The Trill elected to get out of the bed and walk towards the window looking out at space. Back at warp going to who knows the hell where but as he watched as the stars streaked by.
“You miss me?” As the voice spoke the chill ran down his bare spine causing goosebumps to scatter across his bare chest, arms, and back. The pit in his stomach opened and he turned looking behind him for the source of the voice.
“Not my style. I don't stab a Trill in the back.” He felt a sharp pain from the symbiont as the voice spoke out loud again that caused him to double over and hit the deck.
He began to look around the room for where he had put the pill bottle that he was given. He hadn’t needed one in a while, but as he searched he realized he hadn’t brought them from the Manta. There had not been enough time to grab them.
“Just been biding my time handsome… and that little trip in the fear pool… you let me out for a second when you attacked that clown…” That was when the rugged and rough looking Trill Merc appeared in front of him.
He tried to crawl forward towards his combadge but felt a more intense pain that had him hit the deck.
“The closer you get to happiness, and fulfillment, I’ll drag your ass back to reality, until I finally override your control.” Valkier stood over Alerio and chuckled.
“Your nightmare is only just beginning.” He laughed and then was gone.
The pain in Alerio’s stomach didn’t stop for several minutes and then he managed to scramble up and grab his combadge. “Zhal to Sickbay. I need to see the doctor.”
