Though it is not in my orders. I have conducted personal research on Admiral Orlo for the good of Daedalus Omega. Though his telepathic skills and overall sociability go without question, I believe his stance on his own position goes beyond what is reasonable.
Aggressive interviewing tactics have proven that he believes the powers he wields as an Admiral are a right and a priviledge instead of a responsibility to the people that he should be helping. It did not take much to press him to wield the "Admiral Hammer" so to speak in a threatening manner and to insult my abilities as a captain.
Though the episode might be viewed as messy, it was necessary for me to get a better understanding of the man. Personally, he is friendly and enjoyable to be around with enough intelligence to talk for hours on end about his areas of expertise. I enjoy talking to him myself and in a non-professional atmosphere would like to know him better. As an Admiral, I cannot recommend him.
It is this officer's belief that a leader serves those that follow him. It is also this officer's belief that power is not wielded during off duty times for personal bravado. This officer believes that a leader must have more emotional control as to not be goaded so easily into confrontation.
I believe that I have not done a wrong to our fleet. Though, I do recognize that I have possibly embarassed you and do sincerely apologize. I would embarass you again to protect the fleet and to insure the right leader is welcomed into Daedalus Omega. I humbly accept any punishment you wish to inflict on me.
Ultimately, I understand the decision is not mine and support you.
"You must serve those that fight for you. They will watch your back when no others will. When they die, die a little with them, but live on to fight for them. That is your duty to them as their Captain."
