"She dosen't hate you," Val said. "You haven't been given mandatory gender reassignment, so you're good."
"Yet..." The silver PADD snarked.
"Go play little pony," Val suggested. Elusive zipped away to another part of the ship leaving the two by themselves. She thought about what Alton said. "I was scared, yeah. I don't handle violent altercations all that well. I was really surprised the Commander wanted me to go down there. Maybe she thinks better of me then I do myself."

"Nah, a certain pony decided it was time to disturb me." Val return to the table with eggs on toast and bacon with green tea. "So how do you feel after our great resolution of epic terror and resolve?"

Elusive Silver padd que at the sound of Alton moving in the room. Well, things were moving quite along with their budding romance. This, of course, did not stop the pony from heckling her friend. She looked over to Val still laying in bed, cuddling Delta-pony. Well, replaced already, how rude. Elusive smirked most wickedly as she decided it was time to wake Val up.
"VAL! I finally figured out how to divide by zero!"
"Blasphemy!" Val shot up in bed and blinked at the laughing PADD. She placed both palms against her face and rubbed it. "Yeah, ha-ha, very funny." She slipped from the bed and walked into the living area. She till felt tired from their last mission and all the gut wrenching feelings that she felt and assailed her from the others. She was happy their success and the cost was not so terrible to be regrettable. She paused to smile at Alton who stayed in her quarters after they left sick bay. Even stayed to keep her safe, despite nothing was chasing them anymore.
"Good morning, sweetie. How did you sleep?" Val walked over to the replicator to produce her breakfast of the morning.

So one of the many things that Liz brought to the ship to combat the Chorus was alterations to the ship Deflectors that would allow them to track or perhaps even stop Chorus teleportation. Tracking was more important if they were able to drive the entity from the current host, they would need to keep tabs on its where about. Val could only speculate rather it could take another host; she actually hope that the creature itself could not survive outside the host and would be destroyed. Perhaps a fanciful notion, but one she hope would happen. Too much depended on too much speculation.
At least the mortification were doable. The origins were unpalatable, but nothing to be done about that. Making the changes had Val going from certain parts of the deflector array, making the programming changes directly to it. It needed to be fine tune in order for the crew to begin the needed changes for it to work properly. Running it through the simulation would help, but she realize they were properly going to get more calibrations when the event occurred. That might give the much needed data to fully realize the modifications full potential. She kept Engineering in the loop when she begin the modifications and if anything wonky started with the deflector. It would do them well at all if the very deflector dish they needed the most right now, stop working.
"Number two is almost done and five more to go," Val said to her silent companion she had set up next to her. The little pony continue its pleasant stare and Val giggled quietly.

Lonah had to think about what Sinez just said. "Why not use adjust fire or cease fire?" Unless military doctoring had changed on bombardments, those use to be the proper phrases to use.

Lonah spent most of the morning studying the armor suits and their capabilities. An ingenious design, but it was going to take a little bit of practice to get use to it. Too bad by the time that was accomplish everything would probably said and down in regards to what the Sentinel was dealing with. Never the less, whatever they could iron out now would hopefully be a boon to them; hopefully. Considering their opponent, her optimism was not all that high. Perhaps she was just more tired then she was willing to admit.
Anyway, she heads to the holodeck to begin the next round of tests. She steps through the doors and nods to the all ready gathered officers.

10. You are able to solve problems with greatest ease. Then you deal with the Borg.

A beep from Elusive and Val was up to check out the next strange thing popping up on board the ship. Of course, the readings indicated nothing was there, so they were probably dealing with more of the strange phenomenon like the creatures. Creatures from another dimension. "Hm, I wonder if something intelligent is trying to communicate with us?"
"Its messengers could use more manners." The pony responded from a panel behind Val.
"Eh, could be spillage." Val stood by thinking. They still knew so little about what was going on around them since they enter orbit. it was high time to start getting some answers and quickly. Before someone else got hurt.

I truely understand, its tough taking care of those you love. Yet, you love them and want the best for them. Hope things work out for ya.

Val was sitting on a blanket in the cargo bay, studying the new unwanted additions to their crew. She had PADDS, calculating devices, and even paper for notes scattered her as she worked on how the dimensional worked. The fact they could re-modulate the shields to force them out of their hosts was a big help in the right direction. "I wonder, I wonder... I wonder where they came from in the first place. It has to be something to do with the anomaly on the planet." Her sporadic bursts of activity worked like clock work, she would ponder, scan, record data, ponder, and scoot around to talk to her plush toy pony of Elusive that was next to her. So far, she had gone over various theorems and ideas about the creatures and the anomaly. This was the the second time she asked that question. "I wonder if the Captain would let us go planet side to scan the anomaly face to face. Might result in some interesting hard data we could correlate with the creatures. Maybe figure out how the dumb thing works too..."
Since Elusive was off doing other assignments, the pony did not reply, which was alright. Elusive interaction had been limited exclusively to the holodeck and the toy was just a place holder for Val to focus her thoughts; plus she was constantly chatty and needed to indulge word play. She was aware of Endel's singing and found herself tapping out the cadence with her foot against the blanketed floor.

Val smiled and explained, "back in the academy. Some friends of mine wanted me to get out and get more excersise. Actually, I think they wanted to help me burn off all the extra energy; anyway. Soccer, a most wonderful game from Earth. Takes a mix of skill and endurance to rush the ball and keep the other team from scoring. I think my skills are adequate at best, but it was so much fun. I tried to keep up with it after I graduated, but, you know, Borg."
Val shrugs her shoulders. She chuckles as Alton explains Jon being out of shape. "You need to let me know the next time you two play. I so wanna watch that. Hey, maybe I can participate if you two are willing to let a little girl play." She smirks at that.

"Wouldn't be the first time they've been flung all over the place," Val said. "Remember when the ship was sent spinning around. Look like a candy colored battlefield in here. I think I'm still finding ponies in strange places."
Looking at Alton she smirks, "maybe I am. No, most of these I replicated so I don't have to be carrying around a bunch of toys between ships. The one I'm making for you is one of the few I actually do make. It a nice distraction to keep my mind occupied. My other hobby is playing the harp and something sporty." Casts a glance to the SPPPadd as it snickers. "I've tried my hand at soccer a few times."

Val was making like a bee, buzzing around her quarters as Alton safely decided to sit down, squishing one pony wearing felt sunglasses. "Oh, thirty or so, I tend to make them and give them away. Like yours." She shoots a smile towards Alton. She comes back with a tray with two drinks on it and offers. "Here you go, one fizzy soda drink for you." Then she faces a small dilemma. She dose not want to sit in another chair, but the couch seems to be over filled with plush ponies. She really wanted to sit on the couch with Alton.
"I really got to start pacing myself on making these things." She puts her drink down and bulldozes a room on the couch, sending multi-color ponies flying. She ahems politely and assumes her spot next to Alton. "There."

"Horses are held, chief," Val said with a smile. Then she was whooshed over to the Protector with a lot of antsy Delta operatives that were looking rather tired. She was sympathetic to them, they always got the rough jobs. She smiles at Endel as he is the first to greet, "yo, Endle, what's up?" Then Endel continues by telling Alton she has arrived and refer to the ship as the Love Boat. That leaves Val with that i'm mortified but I am going to keep smiling anyway look on her face.
"Jon' was here?" Think for a moment, then shakes her head, "no, don't want nothing to do with that. Oh, hello Alton." She gives him a wink before looking to Seb as he greets her. "Thank you, Ensign. I hopefully will not be here to long." Steps and looks, "just need to find the science station.. over, there!" She bounces over to it and settles down. Unstacking her satchel of one siliver padd and a toy pony.
"All right, lets see if this ship can reveal whats going on below..."
