Section 01 – Out Of Character:
(All these questions are to be answered as the player)
Part A: Player Specific Questions
1.) What is your user handle (ex: Nyoko@GolbezLunar)?
Savok@Sasek
2.) What time zone are you in?
PST
3.) How many hours do you play a week?
8-10
4.) What are your typical play times; (Days and Times)?
Weekends mostly.
5.) What is your age?
36
6.) Are you a boy or girl?
Male
7.) Are you an active forum user? (Highly Recommend that you are.)
Yes, I frequently browse forums on my iphone to break the monotony of my day.
8.) Do you like to write Stories, Log Entries or Design LCARs jpegs?
I am an avid amateur storyteller.
9.) Are you willing to work with Game Masters as an authority over storylines?
Affirmative.
10.) Are you subscribed to the Daedalus OOC Channel?
Not yet, will do this weekend.
11.) What kind of subscription do you currently have? (Optional)
Lifetime.
12.) How did you hear about us?
sto-RP advertisement.
13.) Are you willing and able to put our guilds information in your Character Bio?
Indeed.
14.) Do you understand the Activity Policy?
I am an adult that works two full-time jobs, including a business of my own.
I play games to maintain some small sliver of sanity with all that I do, and I need it. Badly.
While my playtimes are sporadic and brief, I can promise that I will be around as much as possible, and the time I do spend will be dedicated to RP.
15.) What is the best way to contact you?
My email address goes straight to my phone.
Part B: Role Playing Experience Questions
1.) What does the Term "IC-OOC Separation” mean to you?
If Savok were to experience an interpersonal conflict with another fleet member due to prevailing dimorphic personality characteristicts, the conflict would end at the role play.
Out of character we would remain on the friendliest terms. No exceptions.
2.) What is the difference between the term Player and Character?
The player is the human behind the keyboard, the character is the role that they play.
3.) What is Meta-gaming?
Meta-gaming is the use of external player knowledge to gain an in-character advantage.
This also includes god-moding, which is problematic in any good RP situation.
4.) What are Action Brackets? (:: :: | - - |* *| )
Characters used to denote an action taken, or critical story element.
:: Savok raises a single eyebrow, on his otherwise expresionless face. ::
5.) How long have you been playing Star Trek Online?
Pre-beta, last year.
6.) How long have you role played in general?
Since I was a youngter, sitting behind an old cardboard DM screen. Since then, I've role played extensively in SWG.
7.) What was your last role playing experience?
Less than a year ago, when I stopped playing.
8.) What are your expectations of this fleet?
I am searching for good roleplay opportunities, fantastic storylines, and a reason to continue playing the game.
9.) What will you bring to this fleet?
I can offer a character that I consider interesting, backed by a solid role player.
10.) How do you feel about PVP?
Conflict should be the last possible option in any situation. Open warfare is not logical. However given the circumstances dictated to the Federation, if ordered to do so I will endeavor to do my duty in this regard to the fullest extent possible.
11.) What difficulty do you typically play Star Trek Online on?
Advanced.
12.) Do you understand that all role playing is conducted locally?
Indeed.
13.) Do you know how to roll dice on Star Trek Online? (If so what is the command?)
/roll or /em roll?
14.) Do you have experience with Star Trek Role Play?
Admittedly very little, my last fleet was not RP-centric.
15.) Do you have alts in other fleets? (If so which fleet are we sharing you with?)
I stopped playing last March or April due to a cross-country move (Texas to Nevada).
When I quit playing, I had voluntarily removed myself from duty in Lotus Fleet. To my knowledge I am no longer a member.
Section 02 – OOC Character Inquiry:
(All these questions are to be answered as player about the character you wish to play. It is best that you review daedalusomega.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rphandbook before answering.)
Part A: Character Request
1.) Character name?
Savok of Vulcan
2.) Character gender?
Male
3.) Character race?
Vulcan
4.) Is your character a telepath? (Alien telepath characters are subjected by GM approval)
Vulcans are natural touch-telepaths, however such contact must be consensual and GM-approved.
5.) Character class?
Scientist
6.) Character STO level?
Commander or LT Commander, I haven't logged in the last week or so.
7.) Select an fleet entry level rank. (Ensign, Jr Lieutenant, Lieutenant)
I role-play a vulcan, thus I have no ego to bruise. Any assignment by Daedalus Omega command is acceptable. I will display the appropriate rank, division, and uniform pips at all times.
8.) What is your basic character concept & history?
All details are contained in the StarFleet dossier, it took me awhile to put it together. www.stogeek.com/wiki/Savok
9.) What kind of commission does your character have? (Enlisted, Petty Officer, or Officer)
Officer
10.) Desired ship type of ship you'll be wish to be assigned too? (Tactical, Science, or Cruiser).
Science
11.) Please give a little background about this character.
See the complete StarFleet dossier: www.stogeek.com/wiki/Savok
12.) Please describe what Merit System is.
While the specifics of this particular system are unknown to me, logically I asssume that a merit system is based on the objective value of the contributions made by an individual.
13.) Has this character been enrolled in a fleet prior?
Lotus Fleet
14.) What are your aspirations for this character? Casual RP (I am just here to RP) or Competitive (I want to be an Admiral some day!)
Casual RP
15.) What are strengths, weakness, and flaws in this character’s personality?
Strengths: Savok is extremely intelligent, excelling at mathematics, computer science, and physics. His memory is eidetic, and his disciplined vulcan mind is capable of processing a great deal of information all at once.
Weaknesses: Savok, after being told a joke by a fellow cadet: "Humor - it is an affective aspect of consciousness in many species. It is not logical. I do not understand the purpose of your colorful narrative."
Like most other vulcans, Savok does not lie and is not prone to exaggeration or faulty inductive reasoning. Distorting a fact is not logical. This is a detriment in any situation that requires espionage or misdirecting an enemy.
