Hello All, I was in fleet a long time ago and served briefly on the Okinami, unfortunately real life got in the way and saw me unable to continue. I would like to request reactivation in the fleet, I can either figure out a way for the older character to fit in, or completely rework the character to the needs of the fleet. I was speaking with Meranda and had a few ideas for how i could contribute even if i could not make a crew. here is the old character sheet and application thread. daedalusomega.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=transfers3archives&action=display&thread=2183&page=1

The USS Okinami was retired and replaced with USS Ayanami. Nyoko is still the Captain. Would you like to join up with the Ayanami again?

I am open for anything I even have an engineer alt that I am looking to roll up that I could put on a ship I can make all of the times listed in those ships. So it really more depends on ya'lls needs.

The question was asked what ship needs what till fill out their roster. I didn't have the answer Current needs as far as I can remember: Sentinel: We're pretty full at the moment, although we wouldn't turn anyone away, of course Adagio: I think they're pretty full too, but Talia or Cygnus would know better than I. Ayanami: Needs the following: - Security / Tactical: We currently do not have anyone for this role. - Engineering: We currently do not have anyone for this role. Endeavour: Probably needs the following: - Security / Tactical: currently filled by NPC. I think they have one "junior" security officer, but I'm not sure. - Engineering: currently filled by NPC - Helm: currently filled by GM-controlled NPC

Well the chief could be a security officer but his shipboard operations training is very lacking ( unless i could maybe do a slight retrain) My engineer could fill any of those engy roles, if that's what is decided is needed i could leave Odonegan attached to the fleet starbase and use him as needed and make the engineer my primary roleplaying toon.

How long has your in game timeline progressed from when i had to leave? It could be enough time for a couple MOS schools (though it is late in his career for them) or perhaps an on the job posting somewhere.

It could be enough time for a couple MOS schools (though it is late in his career for them) or perhaps an on the job posting somewhere. The current year is 2417, month and day are as real world. I don't know when you left, but I joined in early 2013 and the year at the time was 2415, so it's probable you left in 2414.

So yeah its been a little over three years then. more than enough time for him to have had a posting where he needed to learn tactical operations. If that's decided that he is to be posted to a posting like that I can work up the back story wihtout having to retcon anything.
Engineer is easy as Riens is fresh out of the academy ( unless he is going to be a chief engineer somewhere then i can make him be a young but experienced R&D engineer on his first posting to a starship or something)

For open Senior Officer positions, U.S.S. Endeavour is currently only accepting experienced characters (Minimum of 2 IC years as a Senior Officer in their field of choice or 4 IC years as a junior officer in their field of choice, and a minimum Rank of Full Lieutenant with the recommendation of the character's last CO or supervisor), as well as experienced and reliable players in good standing with the fleet with the overall approval of myself.
As the 22nd Mobile's Flagship, the requirements for Senior Positions are a little higher then normal, but don't let that discourage you from the ship. You may still apply for any Junior Officer position and earn the right to become a member of the ship's senior staff through RP and experience.
We currently have two new junior officers on the ship, one in the Tactical/Security field and one in the Engineering field. If you join the Endeavour as either a Tac/Sec Officer or a Eng Officer, you'd be competing with them for the open Senior Officer Positions.
All new members, unless they meet the requirements stated in the first paragraph above, automatically join the crew as Junior Officers and work towards earning any open senior or supervisory positions aboard the ship. This way, players have something to strive for, performance increases, and the ship eventually gains an experienced and dedicated player in a supervisory position. its not something explicitly written down or stated anywhere, but it's more of a unspoken standard that I enforce to improve the reliability and quality of the gaming aboard my ship.
If this challenge appeals to you, you are more then welcome aboard the Endeavour.

Admiral I think it might be fun to rp a green ensign in engineering on a fleet flag ship. Should I write up a fresh transfer request for that character or do it in this thread?
He could be a helm officer as well (geordi/wesley style)

Conn is filled currently by an NPC and i think its better that way for the ship at this time.
I have to mention this aswell so that you have all the info so you can make a fully informed choice... The Endeavour uses Foundry designed sets extensively, including the Bridge. This means that we have a set limit on the number of players who can be on the Bridge at any one time. Due to this, we have to prioritize player filled Bridge positions and NPC filled bridge positions. As our numbers rise, more an more players will be assigned to other areas of the ship to focus their RP actions... like Chief Engineer and his/her engineers in Main Engineering, Chief Medical Officer and his/her nurses in Sickbay, Scientists in the Science Lab or Astrometrics, ect...
Right now the Endeavour has 6 Player Character (including the GM controlled character), CO - Donaldson, XO/Sci - T'Pang, Ops - Sonak (DGM Kossuth), CMO - Bell, Tac/Sec Murray, and Eng - Dala'an. the only ones that are essential to the Bridge are the CO, XO, Ops, and Tac. The rest are able to rp their jobs elsewhere.
Now, if that still didnt scare you away, then we can talk about the next step.

No that actually sounds awesome and more "realistic". I think filling another junior engineering position would be fun. and logistically it would put two people in your engineering room to solve problems.
editing to add a "character request"
1.) Character name? Jackson Kellan Riens ( Jax) 2.) Character gender? Male 3.) Character race? Human-Southern, United States Born in New Orleans 4.) Is your character a telepath? (Alien telepath characters are subjected by GM approval) No. 5.) Character class? Recent Academy Engineer Grad 6.) Character STO level? Lt. Commander by end of this application. 7.) Select an fleet entry level rank. (Ensign, Jr Lieutenant, Lieutenant) Ensign 8.) What is your basic character concept & history? Jackson is a accomplished student and engineer but has limited interpersonal skills and a slight inferiority complex with regards to his intelligence. He was athletic throughout his youth and often labeled a dumb jock due to his spoken accent and his reticence towards others. While he excelled in hsi studies he was ostracized for not being part of either group. 9.) What kind of commission does your character have? (Enlisted, Petty Officer, or Officer) Officer 10.) Desired ship type of ship you'll be wish to be assigned too? (Tactical, Science, or Cruiser). Cruiser 11.) Please give a little background about this character. Jackson kept to himself much of his time at Star Fleet Academy except for the time he spent on the Star Fleet wrestling team. He was often comfortable to stay in the middle of the pack in his classes in order to not be put on the spot or resented by his peers. He had few close friends and little to know romantic liasons throughout his time at the academy save one friend. A vulcan named Sovak who was his roomate. Sovak's strong focus on logic and little need for emotional engagement worked well with Jackson's introverted nature. Sovak graduated a year ahead of Jackson and was unfoturnately killed in action when his ship suffered a catastrophic failure in the anti-matter containment chamber. 12.) Please describe what Merit System is. A way to judge actions and reward them 13.) Has this character been enrolled in a fleet prior? No. 14.) What are your aspirations for this character? Casual RP (I am just here to RP) or Competitive (I want to be an Admiral some day!) Casual RP. 15.) What are strengths, weakness, and flaws in this character’s personality? Strengths: Engineering and Scientific knowledge. Great theoretical to practical applications and creativity. Weakness: Lacks confidence and a sense of self belonging. Limited Tactical knowledge or drive for command positions. Flaws: Shyness, fear of making mistakes.
