The orion woman put the padd down, "There I sent it. I don't know why you wanted me to. She's probably going to kill you." She looked at the phaser trained on her. Then the man behind it, the black uniform, black hair, black eyes and that badge. And then his voice. "No my dear, I don't think she will, you see Captain Talia, you, and I all want the same thing. Your father back." He leaned forward "Alive." She felt him inside her mind again and she struggled against the restraints on her ankles.

Following her meeting and social time with the Admiral, Talia headed for her meeting with an old friend, about another. Yet something about her message...was ..unlike her. A nagging feeling grew like a small knotted plant in her gut. She expected some kind of an issue, but this was Risa, deep in Federation territory, not Wrigley's Pleasure Planet...nor even DS9.
Yet still...
She arrived at the location and cautiously stepped inside, her sarong tied loosely about her waist settled down as she entered out of the cool night's ocean's breeze. She set her jaw as she saw not one but two familiar faces. Just not the pair she had been expecting...
"Well, well well..." She smirked as she took in the Black Uniform..."I was wondering when you would finally crawl out from under your rock.."
"You would think after the Salvation mess...and the take down of Avalon, you jack booted special project nut cases would have gotten the message by now.."
She shook her head with a mild disgust and looked to the poor manacled Orion. "Are you alright sweetie?"
"Did this clown hurt you?"

"Oh Captain you wound me. I would never harm anyone so beautiful," He moved behind the orion keeping the phaser trained on her. "Niamh here was merely helping me to make contact and ensure you listened to me. You may speak freely Niamh". The orion shifted on her seat and then she turned to look directly at the betazoid.
"You son of a bitch you were in my head!" She looked at the Andorian. "Captain I am sorry."
"She knows you are sorry and yes I was in your brain. It was necessary. You see unfortunately you did not have the information I needed and so retrieving your father has become necessary. Now sleep." the orion fell asleep, and the betazoid male holstered the phaser. "Never like these things. To crude. Anyway yes Captain your dismantling of special projects has put a hamper in us Jackbooted Nut Cases' plans for the protection of the federation. So should we talk about Mr O'Donegan or do you want to kill me here and now and put down one more of us?"

Talia nodded her reassurance to Niamh never taking her eyes off of her captor, her body was coiled as would any ice cobra from her native Andoria as she watched him preen about his captive. She listened to his proposal and allowed herself to smirk a cold look in his direction.
"I must admit I am curious about your interest in my old Chief...you are taking an incredible risk here.." She shook her head. "Almost to the point of stupidity...so I am compelled to ask..."
"What is it you seek from him?" She held up her metallica hand as if to hold up his coming monologue/denial "One more thing you should know...I am giving you only one warning...stay out of my head"
"Andorians have telepathic awareness, and setting aside my starfleet training...I've indulged in a few things of late that /will/ result in a bad end for you if you try anything..." He turned a cold gaze to him. "I am sure you know this...but since we are both professionals...I'm not going to hesitate in retaliating if i suspect you are anywhere near my head..."
"And your end will not be quick...and you will not enjoy it"
She sighed some. "Now...elaborate..why are you here and what is your interest in my missing Chief?"

"I am well aware of your species talents, Andorians useful for what they are. " He turned his back to her and removed a black glove a moment before turning back to her. "Your Chief stole something from the klingons. Well aided her in stealing it. Then they hid it somewhere. It's not your chief I want but what he stole. Unfortunately access to him became problematic after Starfleet removed our official sanctioning. And I cannot simply retrieve him as I once would have. Funny in doing so much righteous good. Your actions have condemned a man to a much longer incarceration than he should have experienced. A pity." He touched Niamh's neck, "It took me a long time to find this one, in the end all it took was leaking the location and she came out of a hole. You'd have to imagine my surprise when I probed her mind and found nothing."
He walked close to her, he was shorter than she was but his black eyes were deep and taunting. "What I offer is his location, and my assistance in retrieving him. What I want in return, well I want to make sure the klingons do not get their trinket back. For the good of the Federation. Do we have a deal Captain? And please Call me Lester."

Talia smirked at his comment about her actions and Liam's current status as she met and held his gaze with a look that fully conveyed how completely and unimpressed she was. "One, You really don't know him that well do you? A Klingon prison is a stay on Wrigley's or Risa for my old friend the chief...the man chews on neutronium for breakfast...without milk."
"Two...just how far were under this rock of yours did you stay since we tore down your little clubhouses?....I am guessing pretty much most if not all of the Iconian War...the Federation and Klingon Empire are 'Blood Allies' now..." She shook her head. "I mean even a basic first year diplomat is gonna be able to negotiate for the chief's release...once we bring up that they are holding him...let alone if I choose to do so, given my status as their 'Wrath of Pi Canis' a known and respected enemy that also fought beside their forces to defend a half a dozen of their colonies and starbases during that war..."
She mused eyeing him. "So why do I need you again?"
"As for your official sanctioning...I'm not sure but it did seem like a good idea to strip away such rights from a collection of preening irresponsible fascist self important children..." She shrugged. "Funny thing...the Federation you supposedly love so much really seemed to side with us..."
"I know it stings /Lester/." She said with a sympathetic tone.
"However, I am curious a little....what is this so called 'object' that she supposedly stole from the Klingons....which you dont want them to have...which they had to begin with anyway and the universe and Federation did not seem to end....so what is it and what is your interest in it /Lester/?"

The betazoid man replaced his glove and put his hands behind his back looking on the andorian. "Klingon blood oaths have a funny way of curdling. A chancellor will promise them, and they tend to last until someone else removes the bonding blood. Captain you are not naive enough to think that, Give yourself more credit." He moved closer to her, looking up into her eyes from his shorter frame. "Besides its hard to request that a dead man be returned. And even harder when the people holding him no longer care what the KDF has to say. You need me captain, and I need you. But more important, so does she."
He moved to orion woman and removed the leg binding tossing them to Talia. "While you are off fighting wars with gods and searching for the grail. Us mere stewards must make sure that Camelot remains for her once and future queen's return. As for the device. We don't exactly know what it does. And the klingon's never told me. Just that they feared it. A fact alone that should show cause for concern."
He moved to her and placed a gloved hand on her shoulder a moment, "Captain you may call me a fascist. But I am a patriot. Politicians don't understand that word, they only care about appearances. You and I, we know the word. She knows how to contact me and she will wake up shortly. Until then Captain."
He left the cave.
The orion woman stirred.
