"Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to visit Betazed and sample their food. I trust your judgment enough to give it a try at some point. We seem to appreciate the same kind of food." He grins. "I assume you did a lot of restaurant hopping during your Academy days?"

Yeah, I've heard stories about how they got really totalitarian with their multi-group policy, which is why The Last Outpost splintered off and became its own thing. UFP has some really nice resources, but I can't say they've impressed me in the few times I've approached them for something.

*has ufplanets flashbacks* whyyyyyyyy Because we were talking about it on TeamSpeak. I forget how it started, though. Personally, I was never involved with UFP, though I was a member of Federation Reborn, Holo Federation, and eventually The Last Outpost, which I'm currently the President of. The game's still active, though the community's very small. Oh, and on the subject of things that happened in TeamSpeak...

Here's your nostalgia fuel, because you couldn't stay awake long enough for me to link it on TeamSpeak.

"Well, when you try Klingon food, you're obligated to try gagh... and then gagh trying to keep it down. It's positively unnatural to have something squirm in your throat." He shudders visibly at the memory. "Tell me, Ms. Daniels, what other cultures have appealed to you through their culinary prowess?"

Incidentally, it's really hard to draw Cardassians with an expressive brow because of their scales.

"Fresh targ heart is a very... memorable experience. I believe they're the only major power in this area of the galaxy that prefers their food alive and still-beating, so its reputation is well-deserved. I assume you don't care for it?"

"I have a variety of yamok flavors. I've even improvised one myself that uses Bolian golpa melon extract. It offers a very interesting blend of innocent sweetness and the kick of spice. I find it to be a very pleasant experience on Earth's fried chicken tenders."
He beams, having finally broken through her anti-social shell.

"And real quick, not a fan of Trill menus are you?"
"Their men are delicious. In contrast, their food is underwhelming. It all tastes very... safe. For such a fun-loving people, I expected something more exotic. And yes, as a matter of fact, I do have spiced karela crab available, with yamok sauce as an option on the side. I could do a remote data requisition to get the replicator pattern for you, if you'd like."

"Turned out...I ate it right..and it wasn't too bad..."
"Why, Ms. Daniels, I do believe you're the first human I've ever met that doesn't find taspar eggs repulsive." She's not going to get rid of him now. He's found another foodie! "I have several Cardassian replicator patterns programmed into my personal database on the Typhon that you may enjoy. Truly, a very unique culinary experience compared to some of the Trill food I've had."

She looked at him intently. "I gotta say i told you everyone has different taste buds, but glad ya liked it. Must be like mom used to make eh?"
"Something along those lines, I suppose." He takes another bite out of it, pausing momentarily to finish chewing and swallowing before speaking again. "The similarity really is quite remarkable, though the texture is very different. Tell me, Ms. Daniels, have you ever tried Cardassian cuisine?"
