Welcome, Ensign Hawk.
If your having trouble with the character sheet creation process, I would be more then happy to walk you through it. A character sheet is an important aspect of joining the 22nd Mobile and it can seem to be a daunting task to people not used to rp character sheet generation.
I'm more interested in learning more about your character, his history, personality, IC service record summery, and just more about your character in general then just a short sentence on why he joined starfleet. Where's he from, how well did he do in the academy, has he served on another ship before coming to the Endeavour... That kinda thing.

When the Idea came to me, I was thinking of holding both... An in game meeting on say a sat or sun before any of the scheduled events, and a forum based discussion afterwords for those who couldn't make it and to continue the debate and discussion of topics brought up in the live meeting.
But again, that was just what I had in mind and when I start to talk to others, we may just decide to just hole the forum based one.
It's really up to how much interest doing a live discussion will have and if said meeting wouldn't interfere with any of the group's rp.

I was pretty interesting, but nothing brought up was new... The same issues we all feel the game has with rp related gameplay. Branflakes was there and listened to it all and gave comments where appropriate but he made it clear he couldn't tell us if these things were being worked on, could be worked on, or will ever be addressed by the STO development team.
So pretty much all it was was a impersonal listing of all the stuff we want but probably will never see happen.
I did like the concept of it and it made me think perhaps we should hold an official ooc fleet round table where our players can bring up topics and issues that they feel need to be addressed by the fleet leadership. Suggestions, feedback, general rp topics, ways to make the fleet more fun, expand the fleet, ect.

First, i want to applogise for posting this last min. It just came to my attention. This is on the STO News Website: sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=825541---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm thinking the 22nd Mobile Should have a presence there. Times: today - 1st Meeting (11am PST "2pm EST"), 2nd Meeting (5pm PST "8pm EST") Place: Hathon, Bajor Rear Admiral Meranda Kalavek (Director of Engineering Operatons for the 22nd Mobile and Commander of Starbase 220) has agreed to go to the 1st meeting today (the 11am PST "2pm EST") and I will go to atleast the first one aswell. All members of the 22nd Mobile are free to come aswell. Our only stipulation is that any 22nd Mobile member that does go, must wear the Standard Fleet Dress Uniform (found in the Uniform Dropdown menu in the tailor). If you have any problems finding the requirements for the dress uniform, feel free to contact me or Meranda ingame and we will help you.

When I was younger and watching the show/movies, I,always assumed starfleet academy was 4 years where an officer (not enlisted) learned the basics of performing as an officer aboard a starship. After graduation, I thought the officer joined a crew as a junior officer in their chosen branch and learned their field through on the job training and learning from their section leader or department head. With the exception being medical officers who spent more years in media school learning from doctors.
For enlisted, they just signed up and learned in the field by on the job training. The difference being they didn't receive the additional training starfleet academy gives officers.
As I recall, it was also stated somewhere that starfleet academy had many satellite schools across the federation all and accepted partial course credits from other accredited/preapproved academies like the Vulcan science academy.
It's also wortH noting that not all medical officer had to go through starfleet medical. Nurse ogawa was originally an ensign through much of tng and learned her field through training and working with dr crusher.
I think as an rp community we fail to acknowledge the evidence of on the job training on the shows... Characters taking years of field experience to become experts in their chosen fields and we instead rely on the fast track and easy explanation of branch schools and pre deployment training... Making everyone ready to be a department head after a few weeks of rl rp experience.
